The Onsite Dedicated Workplace Consultant/EAP Counselor is a professional position responsible for providing onsite and/or virtual services to either a dedicated customer or customers in our overall book of business. Responsibilities range from assessment and referral, individual consultations, management consultations, training, and critical incident response. An Onsite EAP Counselor/Dedicated Consultant may also provide consultation to HR, program managers and supervisors on workplace and organizational issues.
The Onsite Dedicated Workplace Consultant/EAP Counselor is a professional position responsible for providing dedicated services to either a specific customer or customers in our overall book of business. Responsibilities range from assessment and referral, individual and management consultations, training, and critical incident response. An Onsite EAP/Dedicated Consultant may also provide consultation to HR, program managers and supervisors on workplace and organizational issues.
**This is a per diem role for a total of 6 hours per week (hours are guaranteed). Position is non-exempt status and paid on an hourly basis. **

Work Location: Beaverton, OR

Evening Hours: Wednesday & Friday: 4:00pm - 7:00pm PST.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct solution focused on consultations: helping clients define goals, plan action and gain insight
  • Assess and refer to appropriate programs and services including but not limited to: Worklife, behavioral health, substance abuse/chemical dependency and community-based resources
  • Assist with referrals for members needing ongoing/additional services
  • Provide limited follow-up care monitoring (following up with employees and/or providers to ensure the safety of employees, continuation of treatment, etc.)
  • Provide manager consultation services on a variety of work-related issues such as performance management, trauma impacting the workplace, organizational change, individual employee crisis intervention, coaching, and Work-life issues
  • Provide crisis intervention and management support in response to Critical Incidents/Disruptive Events
  • Conduct on-site or virtual training or educational support group services for managers and employees (e.g. wellness seminars, Health fairs, Lunch & Learns)
  • Participate in monthly 1 on 1's, team meetings, and other customer meetings as required
  • Utilize UHG computer to accurately and thoroughly document member contact/case documentation accessing appropriate clinical case management system (s) within departmental time frame
  • Follow internal ethical and regulatory privacy policies such as HIPAA, maintain confidentiality and private health information of members. Follow state and federal licensing practices
  • Other projects assigned by manager

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters / Doctoral degree in a recognized behavioral health discipline
  • Current, unrestricted license at the independent practice level for the state of Oregon
  • 3+ years of experience conducting individual sessions as a fully licensed behavioral health clinician
  • Computer hardware and software proficiency required with proficiency with all MS Office applications
  • Proven solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven solid organizational skills with the ability to manage stressful situations and multiple competing priorities
  • Reside in the state of Oregon

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CEAP or CEAP qualified
  • Training in EAP, workplace, and organizational dynamics
  • EAP experience with emphasis on behavioral health, wellbeing, chemical dependency, and workplace issues
  • Experience conducting presentations and webinars
  • Understanding or experience in short term solution focused interventions
  • Proven solid interpersonal skills required and the ability to work effectively among different levels of management and personnel

Position Summary:
Provide leadership to sanitation team on the responsibilities for the overall cleanliness of the plant processes while ensuring both a safe and sanitary food manufacturing facility.  Ensure compliance with all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criterion including current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices, and compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), CFIA regulations and or HACCP/HARPC.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and provide guidance to sanitation team by providing a daily schedule for the Sanitation Department, and any other duties assigned by management.  This includes enforcement of employee's attendance, company rules, safety rules, and sanitation department requirements.

Responsible for maintaining inventory and ordering of cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, and replacement parts for the Sanitation Department. Work directly with Ecolab representative to provide necessary support for site.

Develop and implement on-going training programs in POKA. Work with L and D department to ensure compliance with POKA program. Assist in training employees in sanitation and operations on cleaning of equipment as needed.

Conduct routine daily post cleaning inspections including ATP program. Review Sanitation records, CIP charts, CIP flow rates and chemical concentrations for accuracy utilizing any of the software programs at the plant level:  i.e., 3D Tracer program, Redzone and plant specific software, recording charts from portable skids.

Conduct, document, and or attend meeting with department or cross functional employees.

Manage both the Sanitation Department labor & supply budgets. Establish routine cadence to report status of overall department budget to Department Manager.

Responsible that all sanitation equipment is in good working condition. This includes routine inspections, escalating issue and working with maintenance or other third-party resources to ensure preventative maintenance is completed.  Ensure aging or non-operative equipment is replaced.

Collaborate and support plant microbiology in PEM (environmental monitoring program) program execution.

Evaluate, update, and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to reflect changes in equipment design, new equipment, and the cleaning process.  Act as subject matter expert representing Sanitation in scheduled audits.

Ensure Ventura Foods Sanitation Program is followed and adhered to.

Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Prior Supervisory or Lead position experience required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Required:  Knowledge in C.I.P. & C.O.P. cleaning techniques.

Must be mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot problems both mechanically and physically.

Experience in leading employees and communicating effectively in order to achieve company goals.

Ability to positively motivate people and provide discipline when necessary.

Responsibilities :
  • Generate new customer sales for TDS by knocking on residential doors and engaging prospects at community events. Present and sell Internet, TV, Voice, and Mobile services, answer questions, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate. Determines coverage through analyzing information involving complex policy terms and contingencies.

  • Determines and negotiates complex claims settlement within authority limits. Develops recommendations and collaborates with management for determining settlement amounts outside of authority limits and accurately manages claims outcomes.

  • Maintains accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.

  • Advance knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools. Utilizes platforms and tools to prepare claims estimates to manage complex property insurance claims.

  • Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.

  • May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.

  • Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.

  • Works independently solving complex problems with minimal guidance; acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

  • Adjusts complex claims with attorney involvement.

  • Recognizes and addresses jurisdictional challenges such as applicable legislation and construction considerations.

  • May require travel to resolve claims, attend training, and conduct in-person inspections.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.

  • 2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience of moderate complexity losses that includes writing estimates, involving dwelling and structural damages.

  • Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.

  • Proficient knowledge of residential construction.

  • Proficient knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law and state laws and regulations.

  • Proficient negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Proven investigatory, analytical, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the year (local & non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed.

  • Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.

  • Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required.

What sets you apart:

  • Hands-on experience in the field handling high-severity and complex property claims such as fire, water damage, vandalism, malicious mischief, foreclosures, earth movement, collapse, and liability.

  • Residential property field adjusting experience with dwelling, structure and additional living expenses.

  • Experience working directly for a standard insurance carrier handling claims from start to finish (first notice of loss, reviewing policy, making coverage decisions)

  • Proficient in using estimating platforms and virtual inspection tools like Xactimate, ClaimXperience and XactAnalysis

  • Insurance industry designations such as AINS (Associate in General Insurance), CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), AIC (Associate in Claims), or SCLA (Senior Claims Law Associate) or actively pursuing

  • Active Property & Casualty adjuster license

  • Currently reside in the Charleston area, enabling quicker response times for local claims and a better understanding of regional risks

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

Physical Demand Requirements:

  • May require the ability to crouch and stoop to inspect confined spaces, to include attics and go beneath homes into crawl spaces. 

  • May need to meet all USAA safe driving requirements including verification of driving record through MVR & possession of valid driver’s license.

  • May require the ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds to include lifting a ladder in and out of the trunk of a car.

  • May require the ability to climb ladders and traverse roofs, this includes the ability to work at heights while inspecting roofs and attics.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $67,750 - $121,950.
