Shriners Children?s Portland is seeking a full time Advance Practice Provider (APP) (Physician Assistant (PA-C), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)). The APP shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university?s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. The APP is expected to comply with scope of practice, other laws, regulations, OHSU policy, and other applicable professional standards of practice.
The purpose of this position is to provide, coordinate and support adult patient care in the Division of Laryngology Head and Neck Surgery. Position collaborates with faculty, residents, fellows and speech therapists to deliver appropriate, timely patient care. She/he will provide clinical support through the following daily tasks, including, but not limited to conducting new patient intake visits, division triage support, review of pre- and post-op directions with surgical patients, assist during office procedures, holding independent clinic sessions for new and follow up appointments. Collaborates with Division Chief to continuously improve care coordination, customer service, and administrative processes and systems.
Function/Duties of Position:
Clinical Activities (not related to teaching or research):
- Position will hold independent clinic sessions each day of the week.
- Position will assist with daily triage and medical review
