About the Company
JDC Aluminum of Tampa, Inc. is an innovative architectural aluminum company that was established in 2023 by a team of industry experts with over 70 years of combined experience. Our services include product and design, architectural support, custom and standard fabrication and power coat finishing. Our goal is to be recognized as the leader in revolutionizing the Architectural Aluminum industry through cutting-edge technology and our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
We're a startup in the aluminum window and door systems market, and right now, nobody knows who we are. We need a sales professional who can introduce us to the Florida market, open doors (literally and figuratively), and build our reputation from the ground up. We don't have an established brand presence, a massive marketing budget, or a pipeline of warm leads waiting for you. What we do have is a quality product and the opportunity for the right person to build something meaningful—and earn uncapped commissions while doing it. This role is for someone who sees a blank canvas as an opportunity, not an obstacle.
Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to take ownership of growing our customer base and establishing our presence in the market. In this role, you will actively identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities while building long-term relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, and retailers. This position is ideal for a true hunter who thrives in a startup environment, genuinely enjoys building relationships, is motivated by unlimited earning potential, and can independently create strategies to generate growth without a playbook to follow. This is a true startup sales role. If you need established brand recognition, warm leads, extensive marketing support, or a defined playbook to succeed, this may not be the right fit.
This role is Hybrid, with only a few on-site days per month. This role will be travelling 75%+ of the time.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and develop new business opportunities by building a pipeline of qualified leads through cold outreach, emails, phone calls, site visits, social media, referrals, trade shows, and networking.
- Identify, target and build long-term relationships with key decision-makers including contractors, architects, engineers, and retailers throughout Florida.
- Travel 75%+ of the time throughout Florida to meet clients on job sites, in offices, at trade shows, and industry events to build relationships and expand market presence.
- Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate aluminum window and door system solutions that meet their project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, customer interactions, and performance metrics in CRM system.
- Strategize sales activities in advance, prioritize targets, and manage time effectively across a large geographic territory
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, customer support) to ensure excellent customer experience and smooth order fulfillment.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions by participating in industry associations, events, and training.
- Represent the company professionally as a brand ambassador in a market where we're building our reputation.
- Perform other sales-related and administrative tasks as assigned to support team and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience with demonstrated ability to generate new business through prospecting and cold outreach.
- Highly self-motivated and results-driven with ability to work independently in a startup environment with limited structure.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to cover a large territory effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the state of Florida
Nice to Have’s
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot).
- Experience selling building materials, window/door systems, or construction products
- Established relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, or building product retailers in Florida
- Prior experience in startup or early-stage sales environments
What You Bring
- Relationship-focused—you enjoy building relationships and trust over time; you're in it for the long-term relationship, not the quick win.
- Resilient and persistent—you don't get discouraged by rejection and understand that relationship-based sales takes time.
- Comfortable with ambiguity—you can create from the ground up without instructions.
- Consultative approach—you listen first, then recommend solutions; you're more interested in being a trusted advisor than a pushy salesperson.
What We Offer
- Base compensation $60k - $75k/year + uncapped commission structure (may change in the future)
- Company Card for business-related expenses
- Monthly vehicle/gas allowance
- Laptop & Company phone provided
- PTO + Sick + 9 Holidays
- 401(k)
