Saint Joseph Medical Group is the employed arm of Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS). The Medical Group includes over 20 practice sites with over 100 primary care and specialist physicians in St. Joseph, Marshall, and Elkhart Counties. This position will be employed by Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, a regional health system of Trinity Health and an affiliate of Loyola Medicine.

The ideal candidate would be seasoned in GI and have an interest in program development. The selected provider will take part in seeing patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting.

  • Perform patient and examinations and treatment and records physical exams, analyze data, develop care plans, and treat minor illnesses and injuries per established protocols. Assist with procedures or conduct invasive/non-invasive procedures within scope of practice

  • Prescribe medications within scope of practice, with collaborative physician oversight and necessary mid-level practitioner-controlled substance license
  • Instruct patients and families on healthcare, illness prevention, and home care, adjusting communication to the patient's age, psycho-social, and cultural needs to achieve optimal health outcomes in accordance with practice protocols
