We are a small, privately owned manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineer to improve how we plan, build, and measure our work. This role will be responsible for validating and maintaining production part times used for scheduling and capacity planning, while driving root cause analysis and process improvements across the shop floor. Key responsibilities

Production standards / part time validation

· Validate, establish, and maintain accurate production part times (routing/operation standards) to support scheduling and capacity planning.

· Conduct time studies (direct observation, work sampling, video/time capture where appropriate), document methods, and ensure standards reflect current best practice.

· Partner with Scheduling/Production to resolve time standard issues that impact promise dates, bottlenecks, and throughput.

Required qualifications

As a Printhead Technician, you will focus on printhead operational performance improvement for Kodak Prosper S-Series, Prosper press and Ultra Stream customers. Work will include analyzing customer data, visiting customer sites to investigate current conditions, and developing and implementing customized improvement plans. The Printhead Technician will coordinate with customer management, operators and Kodak field service to ensure equipment and processes are at optimum conditions to promote the reliability of Kodak printheads and writing systems. Close interaction with other engineering disciplines is required due to the complex printing system consisting of fluid mechanics, electronics, software and materials. The Printhead Technician will have direct contact and develop vital working relationships with current customers, field service engineers, Sustaining engineers/technicians and Manufacturing operations. Additional duties include but are not limited to failure analysis of returned jetting modules, developing and delivering training materials, supporting ink jet integration on Prosper and Ultra Stream presses and generating trip reports to be shared with Kodak and customer management. Responsibilities:

• Obtain and Analyze Printhead Performance Data. Use Kodak's database and interact with the sales representative, field service organization and end customers to obtain and analyze customer data to investigate printhead life trends, system utilization, operating conditions and system configurations.

• Coordinate and Deliver Customer Training Visits. Work with field service and customers to plan and execute on-site visits to train operators and maintenance personnel on the best practices for optimum system performance. Investigate production, equipment or management conditions that may be negatively impacting the performance of Kodak printheads or writing systems.

• Develop and Execute Post-Visit Support Plans. After analyzing available data and conducting on-site training visits, provide improvement recommendations to the customer. SUMMARY

Using fundamental technical skills, analytical abilities, and up-to-date regulatory knowledge, provide complete customer oriented, air quality permitting, modeling, and compliance solutions, to assist clients in areas of permitting and regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Responsibilities:

-Conduct air dispersion modeling analysis in accordance with project requirements and/or published guidelines.

-Calculate air emissions, determine required control technologies, and document process information to ensure client operations, and work practices are in accordance with all applicable regulations.

-Remain current regarding the latest developments in air pollution control technologies.

2. Regulatory Knowledge:

-Assemble permit applications, permit amendment applications, standard exemptions, source inventories, and emission fee calculations for submittal to state regulatory agencies for industrial clients.

-Understand existing regulations and continually review new and proposed regulations as they relate to industrial clients.

3. Maintain relationships with existing clients solicit new project work as appropriate; communicate results of analyses internally and externally in verbal and written form.

4. Assist new project engineers with projects and participate in internal training.

5. Update client information in internal database in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

Exploratory Phase (AVP):

• Define optimal supply-chain organization, resources, and processes to ensure Safety, Quality, and Customer Service while minimizing costs and inventory.
• Calculate project budgets (cost per part, investments, etc.) and ensure quotations align with standard equipment and processes.
• Identify and escalate industrial risks early.

Project Development Phase:

• Apply global standards (POMS & Supply-Chain guidelines).
• Design and optimize physical and information flows from suppliers to customers, collaborating closely with manufacturing teams.
• Determine stock levels and lead time strategies for maximum efficiency.
• Develop functional specifications for packaging solutions, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and production constraints.
• Oversee packaging trials, fine-tuning, and customer approvals.
• Contribute to information system design and layout planning for inbound/outbound flows and storage areas.
• Analyze impacts of scope changes on resources, costs, and packaging types.
• Support supplier selection with technical validation and participate in audits and FMEA.
• Provide hands-on support during production start-up and ramp-up phases.

Responsibilities

• Build Tolerance simulation/analysis models in 3DCS.
• Able to perform following activities in 3DCS Software:
• Pre Tolerancing document, which captures datum targets and GD&T callouts of the component
• Gap Flush document, which captures nominal values with tolerances of gap and flush requirements for different interfaces
• Measurement Points document, which captures feature points on components for which measurement will be done and reported
• Tolerance calculation model, created using 3DCS software

• Develop product GD&T with customer and plant input
• Experience with Tolerance Stack analysis methods such as Worst Case Analysis, Root Sum Squared (RSS) Analysis, Monte Carlo Simulation to predict the distribution of assembly dimensions.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Use Tolerance Stack analysis methods to predict the distribution of assembly dimensions.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Support simulation to help confirm Process, design, Tooling and Structure.
• Maintain detailed documentation of the simulation process, assumptions, and results.
• Prepare comprehensive reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of working-level experience in 3DCS Software.
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a Dimensional Engineer.
• Experienced in developing GD&T from scratch.
• Experience with Tolerance Stack analysis.
• Experience with tolerance simulation, considering parts, weld/install fixtures, assembly order, and process sequence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Required Skills

Experience with Tolerance Stack analysis methods such as Worst Case Analysis, Root Sum Squared (RSS) Analysis, Monte Carlo Simulation to predict the distribution of assembly dimensions.

Preferred Skills
