High School ELA Tutor

The Job:
SmartStart Education seeks a small group ELA Tutor to work with small groups of high school students on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each small group consists of 1-4 students. Each group consists of students who have been identified as students who are struggling with fundamental ELA skills. Students are from grade levels 9th and 10th.
The tutor will work with each group several times throughout the week at a high school in Brooklyn, NY. Groups will take place within the classroom (push-in services) or outside of the classroom (pull-out services). Tutors should be flexible and comfortable with both settings. Each tutor will be given the responsibility of taking daily attendance and monitoring student progress using a personal device (mobile phone).
Job Details:
The tutoring position begins promptly on March 25, 2026 and ends on June 18, 2026. The schedule will be 9am through 2pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Applicants are encouraged to schedule interviews as soon as possible to allow ample time to complete onboarding steps. Failure to do so may result in a position being unavailable.
Salary Range: $145.55 to $160.10 per day.

Distinguishing Features of the Class: Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, an Intermediate Nursing Aide provides direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, prepares patients for treatment and procedures, and assists in the general care of patients. This position differs from Patient Care Technician in that the duties of this position do not include specialized unit competencies. Supervision is not typically a responsibility of this position, but may provide leadership for lower level staff or act as preceptor for new staff. Does related work as required.

Provides care for assigned group of patients as described in individualized care plans and directed by a Registered Professional Nurse;
Provides end of shift, face to face hand-off to incoming nursing aide;

Job Summary
To provide assistance to the nursing staff to maximize care to the patient and families.
Responsibilities
- Documents information on patient records/computer consistent with policies to include vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration), pulse oximetry, I O, weights, heights, etc. and point of care testing (glucometer results, etc.), removal of Foley Catheters. Review Intervention List with the Primary RN to ensure awareness of pertinent patient needs and plans for the day.
- Provides daily physical and emotional care to patients; Provides close observation when patients requires sitters. Will be responsible for completing all procedures within scope of practice and according to current standards, guidelines and policies. Documents information gathered in patient records/computer consistent with policies.
- Will be responsible for the following procedures: Follows plan of care after nursing assessment. Non-sterile dressing change; emptying of post-op drainage devices (additional to Foley bags); set up oxygen and suction equipment; applies pulse ox; performs EKGs and applies telemetry.

Description: The Business Process Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing various process improvements and project implementations across Customer Service.
This role serves as a key collaborator and resource to the Global Process teams (Call Centers, IT and Training) and ensures that standard processes are documented and implemented in support of the overall vision.
Serve as CS SME for key/main processes relating to Material to support projects including UAT script writing, execution of test scripts, process documentation and implementation.
Serves as a primary department contact for system and process requirements implementations, enhancements and testing cycles.
Takes ownership of new business requirements and works with relevant call center functions to determine any new business processes and or changes to existing process.
Takes ownership of complex issues and challenges and create exception rules.
Support department SMEs in documentation best practices and maintenance in support of our Quality Adherence.
Actively identifies process improvements and drives process improvement initiatives by working cross functionally to continuously improve the systems, processes, and controls to ensure effective development, monitoring, and support is in place.
