Monitor the real-time operation of the high voltage transmission system (up to 500 kV) to ensure that members receive a continuous flow of reliable high quality power.

Monitors internal and external influences and adjusts the performance characteristics of the system to compensate for and take advantage of changing conditions.

Specialized Skills: AC/DC theory, blueprint reading, and excel/MS Word experience required.

Must have sound decision making ability under stressful conditions.

Must be able to communicate effectively.

Unusual Hours Required of this Position: Work a rotating 12 hour shift, which involves working weekends and holidays; some vacations and sick leave coverage.
