THE OPPORTUNITY
This role encompasses all aspects of project management, technical specification, design, analysis, installation management, equipment start-up and manufacturing. Automation/Electrical engineers support the manufacturing processes and equipment in one or several manufacturing facilities by designing, specifying, purchasing and constructing Automated/Electrical systems (hardware and software) and components. This engineer is expected to spend a fair amount of time in hands-on technical activities as well. Interaction with all levels of employees will be expected. This is sometimes accomplished through the management of contract engineering resources.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
This position includes roles as the Lead Electrical Engineer and project manager for our Aviation Tire manufacturing facility, supporting efforts to design, build, install, maintain, and modify our manufacturing equipment.
- Create initial designs, assist to define functional specifications for new machines and systems, develop estimates and budget, assure procurement of parts and systems, monitors electrical equipment fabrication, conduct vendor/contractor management, deliver complete and current technical documentation, and oversee installation and startup of projects that range from simple modifications of existing machinery to large-scale expansion projects.
- Have hands-on involvement with equipment and processes by being available to the operators and maintenance personnel and gaining detailed knowledge of the process.
- Provide technical expertise in the maintenance, modification and installation of equipment and machinery in the tire manufacturing process, including technical assistance for problem solving analysis.
- Participate in all facets of project management including: Economic justification, design, vendors/procurement, installation, start-up, qualification, machine acceptance, training for operations & maintenance, project reviews and technical documentation.
- Provide liaison between facility engineering, central quality, methods and purchasing teams, and equipment suppliers to assure good mutual system requirement understanding.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering along with demonstrated successful project management experience. Associates degree with extensive experience may be considered.
Proven electrical design skills, and the ability to deal with electrical, electronic and mechanical tire manufacturing equipment.
Minimum of 5 years industrial electrical design experience, preferably in manufacturing/industrial equipment.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision. The applicant must be able to develop positive relationships with customers.
Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated solid teamwork, communication, and planning skills required. Previous project management experience or team leadership experience is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and resolve issues. Both written and verbal communication skills are essential. Ability to communicate with French counterparts on technical issues is preferred.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with outside contractors and equipment suppliers.
Experience with AutoCAD electrical latest version and PLC programming (i.e. Allen-Bradley) is required. Robot (Yaskawa), vision system (Keyence or Cognex), and Measurement (laser profilometer) experience is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint).

- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, yield enhancement, defect reduction, and waste elimination using methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen.
Tooling & Equipment:
- Evaluate, select, and procure new manufacturing equipment and tooling, ensuring compatibility with production needs and adherence to safety standards.
Documentation & Standardization:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans, to ensure process consistency and repeatability.
Problem Solving:
- Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive problem resolution across various production lines.
Collaboration:
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to ensure seamless product introduction and efficient manufacturing operations.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all manufacturing processes and equipment adhere to internal safety regulations and external industry standards.
How will you get here?
- Proficiency in process development, optimization, and validation (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA).
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (certification preferred).
- Experience with various manufacturing processes relevant to Jabil's product lines (assembly, tooling, and automation)
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Experience with ERP/MES systems.

As the Lead Quality Systems Engineer, you will serve as a guardian of Quality, shaping a Quality Management System that thrives on speed, security, and scalability.
This position requires proven experience with developing and implementing QMS in a new start up site.
The position also requires the skills to lead cross-functional teams to ensure that our products and processes align with ISO 9001:2015 expectations while still honoring the fast-moving rhythm to meet customer expectations.
Quality Systems requires a unique balance of technical precision and practical, streamlined solutions. As a unifying partner across teams, the Quality Systems Engineer provides positive leadership, challenges complacency, and drives continuous improvement—while ensuring processes remain efficient and free of unnecessary administrative burden.
What will you do ?
Quality Management System Leadership
Establish a strong QMS foundation aligned with Jabil Global QMS and ISO 9001:2015 Standards.
Own the Quality Policy and measurable quality objectives throughout the site; monitor performance and drive corrective actions where needed.
Lead Management Review processes — ensuring data-driven decision-making and compliance visibility.
Auditing & Compliance
Plan and execute internal audits across engineering and operations (with focus on IC, Planning, and other core Manufacturing Processes), product management, customer support.
Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory partners.
Track and ensure closure of nonconformities, corrective actions, and risk mitigations. A strong grip on basics such as FMEA and Control Plan is a plus point.
Champion structured problem-solving using 8D, RCA, FMEA, DMAIC or equivalent frameworks.
Document & Process Ownership
Own lifecycle management for QMS documentation — including processes, SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality Records.
Partner with system owners to ensure traceability and version control across Jabil document control tools.
Customer & Stakeholder Focus
Integrate Voice of Customer (VoC) into QMS improvements and product roadmaps.
Lead quality representation in major incident reviews and customer-impacting events.
Track quality KPIs and present insights clearly into executive leadership.
Training & Culture Building
Develop and deliver ISO 9001:2015 and QMS awareness training for all functions starting at New Employee Orientation.
Advocate for an initiative-taking quality culture — where quality is everyone’s job, not a bureaucratic checkpoint.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality discipline (master’s preferred)
Experience
5–8 years in Quality Engineering or Quality Systems roles; at least 2-3 years in leading Quality Management Systems
Strong expertise in ISO 9001:2015 implementation and certification maintenance
Proven experience with internal and supplier audits
Data-driven mindset — Excel/Sheets mastery is preferred; bonus if familiar with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Certifications (preferred): CQE, CQA, Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Etc.
