We are seeking an experienced Tax Controversy Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling complex federal, state, and local tax dispute matters. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and prior experience supporting tax controversy or tax litigation matters.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment, managing deadlines, preparing legal documentation, and interacting with both clients and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys handling tax controversy matters, including audits, appeals, and litigation
• Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize legal correspondence, memoranda, and tax-related documents
• Assist with audit defense matters by organizing client records, tracking deadlines, and supporting responses to IRS Information Document Requests (IDRs)
• Support preparation for administrative appeals, including compiling exhibits, drafting correspondence, and coordinating materials for conferences with taxing authorities
• Assist with tax litigation matters, including preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, and other court documents
• Coordinate filings and communications with federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies
• Prepare and manage correspondence with the IRS and state taxing authorities
• Assist with collection defense matters, including documentation related to tax liens, levies, and other enforcement actions
• Maintain and organize electronic and physical client files in accordance with firm policies
• Track and manage critical deadlines, including court dates and administrative filing deadlines
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate communications with clients and government agencies
• Assist with preparation of engagement letters, client communications, and case status updates
• Process billing, time entry, and expense reports in accordance with firm procedures

Qualifications

• Required: Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal specifically supporting tax controversy, tax litigation, or IRS/state tax dispute matters
• Demonstrated experience working with tax-related legal documents, audits, appeals, or litigation
• Familiarity with court filings and legal procedures (federal and/or state courts preferred)
• Strong understanding of legal calendaring and deadline management
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems

The Position:

• Independent and autonomous management of solar construction projects of various sizes and complexities from pre-construction to project closeout using company processes and procedures resulting in meeting or exceeding planned profits
• Understanding Project Management process and tools including: project scheduling, financial reporting and budget management, project communications plan, contracts, BIM tools, and other project related processes
• Manage all financial aspect of projects

• Field productivity tracking estimate vs. actual, and course correction to protect labor budget and project profit
• Project safety ownership including weekly audits and incident investigation and reporting; positive contributor to company safety culture
• Identification of project impacts and delays, timely notifications per the contract documents, and detailed documentation preparation to prepare and submit claims
• Problem solving, understand the root cause of problems, develop solutions, and follow through implementation
• Comprehend complex concepts of a project and manage for success
• Overnight travel 3-4 days per week throughout the Midwest

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in the Solar Industry.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable equivalent training/experience preferred, Geotechnical experience is a plus.
• Robust knowledge of installation of all electrical systems, specifically PV / DC systems
• Estimating takeoff capabilities
• Microsoft Office Suite proficient, Excel expert
• Effective and professional communication, oral and written
• Effective problem-solving with the ability to make time sensitive decisions in complex situations
• Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and design-oriented Showroom Interior Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, has a strong eye for design, and thrives in a dynamic retail showroom setting.

You will guide clients through the tile selection process, provide expert recommendations, and ensure a seamless and professional customer experience from initial consultation through follow-up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

–    Assist customers and their clients in selecting tile for residential and commercial projects

–    Provide design guidance, product knowledge, and recommendations based on current trends and client needs

–    Create and manage selection sheets and project documentation
