We are seeking a motivated and recovery-focused Certified Peer Specialist to join our Youth Coordinated Opportunities for Recovery & Empowerment (CORE) and Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) teams. Your Role:

As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide one-on-one support to youth and families engaged in recovery services. You will empower youth to identify their strengths, build coping skills, and access the community resources they need to thrive—all while fostering trust, self-advocacy, and independence.

What You’ll Do:

• Facilitate Individual Support – Engage youth in setting and achieving their recovery goals through strength-based, trauma-informed approaches.
• Provide Community Connection – Link youth and families to community resources, supports, and networks that enhance recovery and independence.
• Assist in Crisis Management – Support individuals in developing effective strategies to manage challenges and crises.
• Promote Team Collaboration – Partner with clinicians, care coordinators, and families to support the youth’s care plan and progress.
• Empower Youth and Families – Encourage skill-building, problem-solving, and self-direction.
• Ensure Compliance – Follow all agency, legal, and contractual requirements, including timely documentation and reporting.
• Build Relationships – Maintain open communication and positive connections with youth, families, and team members.
• Mandated Reporting – Carry out duties as a mandated reporter in alignment with laws and organizational policies.
• Professional Development – Attend meetings, training, and supervision to continue learning and improving skills.
• Be a Team Player – Collaborate with team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality services.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field (Required)
• Master’s degree in social work or related field (Highly Preferred)
• Valid Wisconsin Peer Specialist Certification (Required)
• At least one (1) year of experience providing community-based support
• Strong cultural competency and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual (Spanish and English), spoken and written (Highly Desirable)
• Excellent verbal, written, and documentation skills
• Strong critical thinking and organizational abilities; able to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Must successfully complete and pass all background checks, including an annual influenza vaccination
• Transportation, valid Wisconsin driver’s license, state minimum auto insurance, and must meet La Causa, Inc. driving standards

Work Environment:

Operations Manager

The Operations Manager provides full leadership and accountability for all plant operations, including safety, production, quality, maintenance, engineering, environmental compliance, and cost performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an attitude of extreme ownership over all plant operations, safety and performance.
• Develop, establish, and administer short- and long-term manufacturing and operating plans to meet established goals and objectives.
• Participate with the development and administration of plans for Maintenance, Plant Engineering and Environmental.
• Coordinate and expedite manufacturing operations including such matters as production scheduling, engineering, procurement, production operations, tooling and maintenance.
• Employ proper motivating techniques and delegate appropriate authority to department managers to accomplish goals and objectives.
• Maintain conformance with budget, and proper utilization of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
• Counsel, coach and develop supervisors and nonexempt associates.
• Ensure that all departments follow established guidelines for safety, production, quality, and environmental quality.
• Optimize production schedules and meet quality and cost standards.
• Oversee and direct the preparation of operating budgets for plant departments.
• Maintain an adequate workforce to fulfill production requirements.

• Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and value stream map review sessions to identify and eliminate waste via PDCA and DMAIC.
• Track and report on project progress, KPIs, and cost savings using standardized metrics and digital task management platforms & dashboards.
• Partner with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to standardize best practices and drive sustainable improvements.
• Provide training and coaching on Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools to build a culture of continuous improvement.
• Assist in investigating non-conformances and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing activities

Qualifications for the role:

• Ability to demonstrate experience in lean management, advanced problem solving techniques, performance management, Kaizen facilitation and have established the relevant industry skills associated with at least 5 years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Post-secondary education and professional certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication skills appropriate for all levels of the organization.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365 toolkit and a working knowledge of business intelligence software such as Power BI, Minitab, Celonis, etc.
• Yellow or Green Belt Lean Six Sigma certification is required or ability to certify within 12 months of employment.
