Position Summary: The Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) works collaboratively with the physician to provide a wide range of endocrine care services which encompasses health promotion, injury and illness prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of Health problems and injuries. Health problem monitoring may include monitoring of stable chronic health issues. The Advanced Practitioner will participate in community development health education and patient advocacy. The Advanced Practitioner will perform patient testing and make referrals to the physician as needed; write prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, system protocols, office protocols and scope of license and certification. Advanced Practitioner services are provided within a patient centered framework to patients of all ages and may include other general duties as assigned to facilitate office operations and ensure service delivery within the umbrella of GHS core customer service values.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience with Diabetes, preferred
- Minimum of two years PA or NP in a physician's office required
- Four years previous healthcare experience preferred
Licensure and Certification:
- Current licensure and certification in the State of South Carolina in good standing to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

Medical Center seeking a Hematology Oncology Physician--Diagnose and treat a wide range of oncologic and hematologic conditions--Provide comprehensive outpatient cancer care, including treatment planning and longitudinal management--Manage benign and malignant blood disorders--Collaborate closely with APPs, oncology nurses, and multidisciplinary teams--Participate in tumor boards and coordinated care planning as appropriate--Outpatient role with some inpatient responsibilities--Standard office hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm)--Protected administrative time (8 hours per week)--Shared call schedule, 1:4 rotation for patient care needs through telephone calls ? also supported by after-hours nurse triage.--Support Staff: The physician will have a team consisting of their own clinic support staff, an APP, and a robust specialized oncology nursing team.--4 Physicians and 3 APPs--Cerner EMR with Dragon dictation + Ambient AI for charting--Initial cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, chemotherapy follow-ups, and management of hematologic conditions like anemia and clotting disorders.--Adult patient population with a broad range of cancers and hematologic disorders--Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies, port insertions, etc.--Approximate case mix of 40 percent oncology and 60 percent hematology, with flexibility based on physician experience and interests--10-chair infusion center, onsite lab and pharmacy, two additional infusion centers on campus (1 general/1 rheumatology)--PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3-D mammography, breast MRI, high-definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy--Tumor Boards: Bi-weekly for breast, PCC, GI, and ENT--Sign-on Bonus: $25k+ sign-on bonus to assist with the transition.--Competitive Compensation: Guaranteed base salary (typically MGMA median; $500K+/-) with additional WRVU bonuses--Health, dental, & vision; supplemental insurance options (short/long-term disability, accidental, cancer, life); retirement plans with employer match.--Eligible for loan repayment assistance through the PSLF program, helping to manage and reduce student debt.--CME Allowances: 5 days off a year / $3k a year + cover costs of licenses, dues, etc.--Malpractice Insurance Coverage--Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling and ample paid time off to ensure a healthy work-life balance (24 Days PTO).
