This temporary position offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and lasts until December 16th, 2024.
Responsibilities: Function as a First Assistant in the operating room (OR) for a variety of cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries.
Utilize your expertise to assist a team of four Cardiothoracic Surgery PAs.
Participate in scheduled OR cases, inpatient rounding, and potential call coverage (approximately 1 in 4 weeks, evenings and nights).
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Assist clinic staff with answering patient call-in questions as needed.
Potential duties may include assisting with endovenous and endoradial harvesting procedures, floor management for patient discharges, and emergent surgeries.
Qualifications: Active and unrestricted license in Montana (MT) or through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Surgery or a related specialty is preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Surgery PA/NP is required.
First Assisting experience in the OR is mandatory.
Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and technical abilities in a cardiovascular surgery setting.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with a team and patients in various situations.

Position Responsibilities:
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions, both acute and chronic.
They perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop and implement treatment plans.
They also educate patients on skin health and preventive measures, and collaborate with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborates with staff to identify patients' needs and to help develop plans to meet these needs.
Responsible for timely completion of documentation in patient records.
Serves as a member of committees dealing with health care.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
