Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinates, plans, organizes and controls the maintenance and repairs and the release of MH-139 aircraft.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts and travel for detachments.
- Incumbent shall supervise and coordinate maintenance efforts on assigned shift, to meet the daily flight schedule.

Surface Warfare Officers (SWOs) are involved in virtually every aspect of Navy missions. As a SWO, you may be in charge of any number of shipboard operations and activities while at sea, working with or within any of these specialized forces:
Aircraft Carrier Forces: Provide and coordinate air, submarine and surface ship defense for aircraft carriers.
Cruiser-Destroyer Forces: Provide ship attack and defensive measures with a wide array of missile and fire power capabilities, providing anti-air, -submarine and -surface warfare support.
Amphibious Forces: Embark and transport vehicles, equipment and personnel for amphibious assault operations.
Combat-Logistics Forces: Provide combatant ships with fuel, ammunition, food and supplies, and provide repair, maintenance and rescue capabilities through Fleet Support Ships.
Mine Warfare Forces: Detect, identify and neutralize threats from hostile use of maritime mines.

Work Environment

Newly commissioned Surface Warfare Officers will be assigned to a surface ship, leading a team of Sailors responsible for a component of the ship - anything from electronics to weapons to engineering systems. In this setting, Officers are working toward full Surface Warfare qualification.
After completing these initial sea tours, Surface Warfare Officers may be selected to serve on high-level staffs, commands or strategic projects or they may be selected to work in recruitment. The ultimate goal for many: to one day command their own ship.

This role is highly mechanical and operationally focused, with primary responsibility for maintaining and optimizing spray drying systems, pumps, valves, rotating equipment, and bulk material handling systems.
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while directly supporting troubleshooting of spray dryers, thermal processing systems, and fluid handling equipment. This position requires a working leader who can supervise technicians while remaining technically engaged in diagnosing mechanical failures, minimizing downtime, and improving equipment reliability.
The ideal candidate has prior experience supervising maintenance teams in chemical, agricultural, or industrial manufacturing environments and possesses deep hands-on expertise in spray drying equipment and rotating process systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily maintenance operations across mechanical, process, and utility systems
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for spray dryers, atomizers, burners, cyclones, ductwork, and airflow systems
- Direct troubleshooting and repair of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, seals, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and drive assemblies
- Manage inspection and maintenance of industrial valves (control, ball, diaphragm, gate) and associated process piping systems
- Ensure reliability of conveyors, mills, compactors, mixers, and bulk material handling systems
- Coordinate maintenance of compressed air, steam, dust collection, and process water systems
- Respond to major downtime events and lead root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Develop and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, and hot work safety procedures
- Maintain accurate CMMS records, work orders, spare parts inventory, and equipment history logs
- Establish and monitor KPI metrics including downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance cost controls
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering to prioritize maintenance schedules and capital improvement projects
- Oversee contractor activity for major repairs, installations, or equipment upgrades
- Identify opportunities for reliability improvement, equipment modifications, and cost reduction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 standards and internal safety policies
- Train, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians to improve mechanical capabilities and troubleshooting skills
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
