This person performs a variety of administrative duties for the inpatient nursing unit/department.
This person ensures the timely, efficient and organized flow of operations for the assigned nursing station/area.
Incumbents in this position may perform all, or a combination of, the duties described depending upon their assigned work area and the specific needs of the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Greets patients, visitors and/or physicians and provides appropriate assistance.
Answers incoming telephone calls to the unit, including STATS, relaying information as appropriate.
Responds to or relays patient requests to the nurse.
Enters/updates physician orders and unit charges into the computer, e.g.
laboratory tests, dietary orders, physical therapy, supplies/treatment utilized, as needed.
Initiates and completes administrative functions regarding the admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
Faxes/submits physician’s orders to the Pharmacy.
Completes and ensures delivery of unit census, patient acuity summary, etc.
Files laboratory, x-ray reports, progress reports, etc., in the appropriate patient medical chart.
Contacts other hospital departments and/or staff to schedule patient’s diagnostic/therapeutic appointments, and/or requests assistance with ancillary tasks.
Assists in maintaining unit supplies/equipment by monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, as instructed and completes appropriate logs.
Provides shift report to on-coming Unit Clerk or nursing staff, as needed.
Maintains a clean, organized and efficient work station.
Assists with the orientation/training of new employees to the unit, as directed.
Maintains daily census/nursing assignment boards.
Posts and updates monthly assignment boards for physicians and residents.
Captures and maintains statistical data on utilization payor mix, census, average length of stay and other critical elements.

Requirements/Qualifications Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in working with patients with psychiatric/behavioral health disorders.
Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem solving skills and display excellent oral/written communication skills.
Previous adult behavioral health and substance use treatment experience is preferred.

The Medical Assistant (MA) is part of the ambulatory setting.
Works with Ambulatory Clinic Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all administrative matters relating to financial and personnel operations for the designated Medstar Health medical practice or location.
Coordinates patient scheduling and registration, and manages patient throughput.
Works with supervisor and RN to oversee daily functions of assigned staff and practice area.
Coaches others for safety and engages in the training, orientation, and survey expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams

Qualifications
Current physician license (State of Texas) and DEA
Experience in post-acute, acute, ED, or clinic settings preferred, but not required;new grads welcome to apply

Job Description: Employee Therapist with Youth & Young Adults 16-25 with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities
Qualification Criteria:
- Must hold a current Maryland license: LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or a related discipline appropriate to the position.
- Experience and/or strong interest in working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD), including autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, and co-occurring mental health needs.
- Must submit licensing documentation and successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-employment medical examination.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, ADA considerations, youth development, and culturally competent practices preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Available to provide in person individual and family therapy- two days/week, with flexibility to increase based on program needs and youth/young adult demand.
- Deliver developmentally appropriate counseling to youth and young adults ages 16-25 with IDD, focusing on emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, crisis intervention, and transition-to-adulthood support.
- Use therapeutic approaches suited to IDD populations (e.g., CBT, play therapy, exposure therapy).
- Ensure timely documentation in the practice management system.
- Monitor and record client progress with respect to treatment goals.
- Complete biannual reassessments on assigned clients.
- Refer client, or family to needed supportive services, as needed.
- Modify treatment plans according to changes in client status.
- Adhere to the practice standards and ethical guidelines established by the agency.
- Maintains employee file with current documentation.

Salary: $75,000-85,000 annually
- Earn $68,000-$93,600 annually
- $0.67 CPM + $25 per stop
- $2,500 sign-on bonus in 10 monthly payments for experienced drivers
