Trade Compliance Manager

The Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the trade compliance matters at OpCo, ensuring adherence to the import and export regulations. This role will be focused on overseeing the trade compliance operations and implementing and optimizing a trade compliance program and driving tariff mitigation strategies. This individual is responsible for proactively identifying risks and opportunities, aligning trade compliance priorities with the strategic initiatives of OpCo.
This position reports to the LSIG Director, Trade Compliance and is part of the Trade Compliance function that sits within the Legal & Compliance function. This will be an on-site role located in San Jose, California.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Manage day-to-day trade compliance operational activities for the OpCo within the US and Canada and support the trade compliance function globally.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Logistics, R&D, Quality and other key stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise on trade compliance requirements, ensure alignment with all applicable trade laws and internal trade compliance policies and procedures.
• Lead key tariff mitigation and duty saving strategies, including first sale, duty drawback, country of origin determinations, reconciliation, Section 232 tariffs assessments, and cost-avoidance initiatives that support the financial business objectives and supply chain flows.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve trade compliance programs, policies, SOPs, and internal controls for U.S., Canada, and Europe to strengthen organizational capability and ensure consistent compliance standards globally.
• Proactively identify, assess, and execute process improvements and value-add opportunities that enhance compliance efficiency, minimize regulatory risk exposure, and drive cost reductions.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelor's degree required with 6+ years of experience in customs, export controls, or related field, demonstrating success in managing trade compliance programs and leading cross functional projects.
• Proficient knowledge of US export regulations, including the EAR, Census, OFAC sanctions, Commerce Control List, ECCN classification, export licensing, and restricted party screening.
• Advanced expertise in U.S. customs regulations, including customs valuation, HTS classification, country of origin determination, and import compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of the Canadian an EU import and export trade regulations and their application in day-to-day operational and regulatory decision making.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing tariff mitigation strategies, such as free trade agreements, duty drawback, reconciliation, and similar cost-reduction programs.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (highly preferred)
• Experience with Oracle, EPR systems, and data analytics/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

Qualifications

- Must have minimum of eight (8) years of construction, and real estate development experience with minimum of four (4) years in data center, mission critical projects and management positions.
- Demonstrated experience managing the construction of substations, switching centers, and other high-voltage electrical infrastructure for data centers or similar mission-critical facilities.
- Must be knowledgeable in all phases of building and land design and construction including:
- Understanding of architectural & engineering processes and prerequisites for both
- Understanding the governmental process and all steps necessary for compliance
- Reviewing soils reports, phase I reports and cost studies
- Understanding of commissioning and testing processes related to Mission-Critical related equipment and projects

- Must have strong abilities with Microsoft computer software (including Project, Excel, and Bluebeam); and Yardi.
- Must understand basic business and contract law concepts.
- Experience in remediation and development of brownfield sites preferred.
- Must have thorough understanding of building and construction concepts as well as Mission-Critical construction trends.
- Must have thorough understanding and experience of Mission-Critical MEP Systems including electrical topologies, cooling strategies, security and BMS requirements, fire-suppression requirements.
- Must have thorough understanding of equipment requirements for Mission-Critical Facilities, including different delivery and implementation delivery methods i.e. OFCI / CFCI, etc.
- Must be knowledgeable on installation of monitoring and security systems for Mission Critical facilities
- Demonstrated experience in phased turnovers and ability to manage tenant improvements in occupied buildings.
- Through leadership and team building establish relationships with the general contractors, engineers, consultants, governmental and utility for the benefit of the success of the project.
- Must have project management, scheduling, and budgeting experience.
- Must be able to set priorities, create work plans, coordinate resources and reschedule priorities.
- Safety certifications are a plus – (OSHA 10, OSHA 30)
- Implement sustainable construction practices to assist Goodman in achieving Sustainability Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to positively influence the actions or opinions of others through reasoning, argument and entreaty.

As a Warehouse Kitter, you'll be primarily responsible for preparing and organizing materials and components needed for production. This role offers a hands‐on opportunity to work with electronic components that support NVIDIA's products, giving you exposure to a high‐tech manufacturing environment. You'll accurately pick parts, assemble kits based on work orders or build lists, and ensure everything is ready and available for the production team.
Day Shift: 7am-3:30pm
Swing Shift: 3:15pm- 11:45pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The kitting clerk will be kitting electronic components in a warehouse environment. Duties including but not limited:
• Counting Inventory
• Component packaging
• Splitting material lots
• Periodic cycle counts
• PCB labeling
• Put away of materials
• Support manufacturing (window service)
• Receiving
• Some lifting required up to 30lbs
