Summary
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions to support production, shipping, and receiving operations while ensuring compliance with all food safety and quality standards under SQF/BRC. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safe practices and supporting the team's overall operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all food safety/quality requirements under SQF/BRC.
- Maintain safe work practices, including proper forklift operation, safe driving speeds, horn usage, and seatbelt compliance.
- Review production sheets to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Accurately pick customer orders by interpreting pick-tickets and using RF scanner systems.
- Load and unload transport vehicles, ensuring products are securely and evenly placed.
- Maintain forklift equipment, complete daily inspections, and ensure proper shutdown and charging procedures.
- Document all shipping and receiving activities thoroughly and accurately.

- You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.

- Review production sheets to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Accurately pick customer orders by interpreting pick-tickets and using RF scanner systems.
- Load and unload transport vehicles, ensuring products are securely and evenly placed.
- Maintain forklift equipment, complete daily inspections, and ensure proper shutdown and charging procedures.
- Document all shipping and receiving activities thoroughly and accurately.
- Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures for all warehouse inventory unless otherwise directed.
- Strictly adhere to company inventory control and MRP system policies.
- Perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping tasks to keep warehouse areas safe and organized.
- Support other warehouse or production-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong mathematical and reading comprehension skills with mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of MRP systems and RF scanner technology.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification required).
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts or extended hours as business needs require.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

The QA Technician in a Food Manufacturing plant is responsible for the quality, food safety and aesthetics of the product. The QA technicians follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, BRC standards and product quality standards.
Duties and responsibilities
Collect swab results
Enter results into data base
Review results to ensure compliance with specifications
Provide feedback to operators and manufacturing mangers regarding non-conforming products and packaging
Communicate results according to established communication methods
Ensure that assigned area is clean at all times following established cleaning and sanitation practices
Informs Quality and Production Manager of any food safety problems
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and job instructions
Take corrective actions when measures are out of specification
Take and document required process, quality measures
Meet or exceed established targets
Adhere to the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the general food safety standards of BRC.
Responsible for routine cleaning and general maintenance of the workspace as assigned.
Responsible to verify all product produced by Tandem Foods is into customer specification.
Responsible to verify production process meet company and customer standards. (Brix, Moisture, etc.)
Perform other related duties as assigned, alerting team leaders and managers of idle time.
