Job Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for managing and directing capital engineering projects of varying size and scope throughout the project life cycle from concept to completion. This includes scope development, cost estimate preparation, facility layout & design, engineering and design of process equipment, specifications, procurement, as well as overseeing project installation and commissioning. The role focuses on ensuring the technical and engineering integrity of projects, driving innovation and efficiency in design and execution. • Capital Budget Management: Collaborate with facility staff to develop and submit capital appropriation requests for management approval, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and objectives.

Manage engineering projects with internal and external resources to ensure they meet engineering requirements, quality standards, and are delivered on time and within budget.

• Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all equipment and construction adhere to relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including FDA, BRC, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Finance, Operations, R&D, IT, Quality, Sanitation, Health & Safety, Legal, and other departments to integrate engineering solutions into broader company initiatives.
• Field Installation and Commissioning: Oversee contractors and manage the field installation of processing systems. Ensure that equipment and workmanship meet or exceed project requirements, prepare reports, and manage change orders from start-up through commissioning.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests or Pre-Delivery Inspections at suppliers' sites as needed. Coordinate equipment start-up, commissioning, and training to ensure optimal performance.
• Safety Leadership: Promote and support safety protocols for contractors and team members on all projects.
• Flexibility: Be available for travel and extended or off-hours work as required by project demands.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management, ensuring they align with the engineering focus of the role.

Summary: Responsible for a variety of tasks that require knowledge and/or ability to learn packaging equipment and assist when needed on major utility systems. Ability to progress and desire to learn of high importance.

6. Trains and learns most shop equipment and machinery.

9. Prepares for work daily with complete set of hand tools as mandated by the supervisor's list.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager US Comanufacturing, is an active member of the Purchasing Team North America (NA), participates in sharing purchasing excellence and strategies, supporting teamwork, joint learning and development initiatives. The incumbent will lead the North American sourcing strategy initiatives for an assigned Category. Under the guidance of the Associate Director procurement - US Comanufacturing, will assist in the execution of a supply strategy for managing Lactalis' US Comanufacturing network and will provide local support to Yogurt Business units across USA and Canada . This position will be expected to provide a high level of service and support for internal stakeholders by developing a deep understanding of affiliate business needs, providing detailed analysis of spend data and financial results, playing a key role in supplier relationship and performance management, and by providing necessary support for new product innovation and supply chain sustainability. This position will also be responsible for ensuring connectivity between Lactalis Yogurt business units' functions (Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, Finance, PMO, Marketing, etc.) and the broader Lactalis North America Purchasing organization. The focus of this position will be primarily in support for yogurt -related co manufacturing activities in the United States.

• Develops local /regional sourcing strategies for the Category managed, using detailed analysis of historical & current spend data, combined with sourcing and research of new suppliers.
• Achieve budget objectives by identifying, developing and supporting North American sourcing strategy initiatives for the assigned Category or the North American Sourcing.
• Leads the implementation, and management of the strategy for Category, making sure the needs and specifications of each Business Unit are considered.
• Take ownership of the bid process, through in-depth knowledge and analysis of key cost drivers, qualify vendors, tender, negotiate, implement, and manage all contracts related to the category.
• Support global negotiation initiatives led by Lactalis senior global procurement team by providing information such as pricing specifications, vendor listings and negotiating at local and global level. As well as providing information as a subject matter export on the Category being managed.
• Lead cross-functional teams with internal stakeholders in the design and implementation of sourcing strategies
• Identify and execute negotiation cost savings initiatives.
• Participate as a subject matter expert in working with cross-functional teams, providing insight to key functional areas of the business for effective project execution such as process optimization. The scope includes pricing, as well as process improvements ideas provided by the vendors, and insights into the portfolio.
• Develop supplier relationships to optimize supplier quality and performance, including continuous improvement, innovation, and reduction in total cost of ownership to add value to North America region. Responsible for supplier quality and supplier contract compliance with respect to the category managed.
• Perform administrative duties such as tracking cost savings initiatives, providing monthly status reports vs. objective targets reviewing and validating pricing and communicating the pricing to master data for upload.
• Responsible for providing insights on the market for LE & monthly risk & opportunities forecast reports to the divisions

As an On-Site Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

• Lead the development and launch of manufacturing processes for new aerospace components from concept through production
• Champion Design for Manufacturability (DFM) by partnering closely with design and engineering teams early in the lifecycle
• Develop, validate, and optimize CNC programs, operation sequences, fixturing concepts, tooling, and gauge requirements, and detailed work instructions
• Drive continuous improvement of existing production processes through direct, hands-on involvement on the shop floor
• Establish time standards, labor estimates, and economic run quantities for complex, high-precision parts
• Create accurate cost models to support new business opportunities and ongoing process improvements
• Evaluate, justify, and implement new capital equipment and advanced manufacturing technologies
• Collaborate daily with engineering, operations, quality, technicians, and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues and mentor team members
• Lead manufacturing projects and, where applicable, own the engineering scope of a dedicated production cell
• Support and improve automated manufacturing cells to reduce labor, improve consistency, and increase throughput

Production Supervisor Overview:

This role will perform the daily management of personnel performing final dimension checks of products, scheduling customer deliveries, purchasing, freight, and loading product for delivery. He or she will supervise and coordinate operations, maintenance, and supporting functions

• Ensuring that all safety, environmental and quality policies and practices are understood and adhered to by all employees and contractors.

• Determining if product quality meets the customer requirements and decide proper disposition of material.

• Establishing and enforcing first class standards of housekeeping.

• Planning and operation of manufacturing processes to produce first quality product according to schedules required to meet customer commitments and delivery.

• Maximizing yields at lowest cost in accordance with established schedules and quality standards.

• Reviewing production reports and resolving operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems cost-effectively and to prevent delays in production.

• Developing and revising standard operational and working practices to ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards and order requirements.

• Responsible for training of department personnel.

• Initiating personnel actions (i.e. promotions, disciplinary, etc).

• Performing Root Cause Analysis to determine failures and implementing corrective actions.

• Ensuring facilities, equipment and control systems are maintained in a condition to safely and cost-effectively produce quality products.

Education / Experience Requirements:

• • High School Graduate - minimum • AS or BS in Engineering preferred
• • 5 years of “front line” supervisory experience in a line manufacturing role
• • Experience with metals and special alloys desirable
• Understanding of basic machinery (Forklifts, Bandsaws, straightening machines, etc)
