Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, and teaching hospitals. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine health status and treatment needs.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide patient care decisions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide addiction counseling and support for patients dealing with substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams in internal medicine, geriatrics, and urgent care settings to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Participate in patient education initiatives, teaching patients about their conditions and treatment options.
  • Assist in the management of patients in the ICU, including ventilator management when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.
  • Experience or training in addiction counseling is a plus.
  • Familiarity with internal medicine practices and geriatric care is beneficial.
  • Previous experience working in outpatient settings or teaching hospitals is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $97,308.96 - $140,189.28 per year
