What You Will Do

As a Level 4 HVAC Foreman, you will lead large and complex commercial HVAC installation projects from the field. You’ll oversee crews, coordinate with project management, and ensure installations are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

• Working knowledge of processing or packaging systems, including equipment operations and troubleshooting.
• Strong computer proficiency and the ability to learn systems such as SAP or other manufacturing software.
• Able to work weekends, swing, and overnight shifts.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Installation Manager the HVAC/R Installation Technician is responsible for install ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems and equipment; inspect and perform tests on systems and equipment at start-up to assure proper functioning. This position has constant contact with the Project Managers and Sales Engineers to receive installation detail and communicate project requirements and results. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule and manage shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to customers.
• Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to arrange transportation and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation.
• Monitor the status of shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in tracking inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Address and resolve logistical issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and transportation activities in the company's logistics management system.
• Generate and analyze reports to track logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in logistics-related projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Previous internship or experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with logistics software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Organizational Relationship:

This individual reports to the Logistics Manager and works closely with a variety of departments throughout the company.

Travel & Location Requirements:

This position has minimal travel and is based in Grand Rapids, MI

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to lead cost estimating efforts for complex mechanical construction projects. This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection systems while supporting preconstruction strategy and project success.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and leadership capability, with the ability to mentor junior estimators and collaborate effectively across engineering and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for mechanical systems
• Review drawings, specifications, and design documents
• Identify risks and provide value-engineering recommendations
• Mentor junior estimators and review their work
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams during bid development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
• 3–5+ years of experience as a mechanical estimator in the construction industry
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection systems
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities
