Job Purpose
Controls Engineer responsible for planning and implementation to upgrade existing and install new building controls utilizing self, team, and contractor abilities. Design Mechanical systems, develop schedules, budgets and forecasts, select materials, equipment, project staff and contractors.Β Estimate costs, resources and time required to complete. Ensures controls architecture consistency between sites and analyzes technology trends. Includes focus on development and sustainability of the mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, Chillers, Air compressors, Utilities). Direct site building control related activities, through team members and contractors, to meet site needs (e.g. controls upgrade and replacements, programming optimization, standardization, and operations enhancements). Focus is to maximize cost efficiency and usability while minimizing risk to production and maintenance downtime. Job requires constant interaction with department's engineering and maintenance teams along with external customers and contractors.
This position will be joining the Facilities department in Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLCβs (HDMA). The Facilities department is responsible for the building which includes new construction, remodels, utility management (electric, compressed air, natural gas, water), building maintenance, end-of-life equipment replacements and upgrades. The goal of the department is to create a facility that we are proud of and to serve our customers.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage BMS/BAS(Building Management System/Building Automation Systems) specification, design, and operation. Develop and implement multiyear strategy to complete BMS migration. Collaborate with HDMA Facilities controls leaders to standardize a unified approach. Manage and oversee programming and work with IT networking team.
- Support operation of Facilities mechanical and electrical systems including but not limited to centrifugal fans, burners, cooling/heating coils, pumps, centrifugal air compressors, centrifugal chillers, heat exchangers, utilities, metering, communications. Manage and maintain documentation for the site Mechanical Systems.Β Communicate critical updates to site system operators.
- Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL)
- Lead meetings and negotiate with customers and contractors of all levels and capabilities. Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers and contractors.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (in Mechanical, Controls or Electrical) or equivalent related controls experience
Minimum Experience
2+ years of relevant working experience in a Controls/Project Management/Facilities Capacity preferred
2+ years working experience with control systems architecture and programming preferred

Job PurposeThe Supply Chain Operations Department is responsible for the oversight, standardization, and technical leadership of the internal material handling operations at the Honda automobile powertrain and final assembly sites across North America. Specifically, the Inventory Specialist role will support inventory analysis and decision making with our contracted logistics companies, other Supply Chain management Departments, and the manufacturing plant, such as Assembly, Bumper Paint, Paint, Weld. This analysis covers inventory within the entire facility and supporting warehouses / trailer yards. Additional functions support onsite physical inventory activity when needed along with New Model and buildout activities.
Key Accountabilities- Maintain accuracy of systems required to support production (operation standards, parts, Global Consolidation Center System, Global Production Control System) through simple inventory discrepancy analysis and validate department readiness to assure manufacturing achievement.Β
- Review/maintain daily reports then go to the spot (Genba) to understand situation, support action for resolution of issues.
- Support mass production build out and new model launch activity to ensure quality and accuracy of data with minimal supply chain impact for event/mass production readiness.
- Manage and execute project related activity through Specified Action Plan (SAP) to ensure project strategy and activity is completed in a comprehensive and timely manner for project success, including capturing successes and failures into future models.
- Participate in department initiatives such as business plan, FSI (loss elimination) to gain or share knowledge, promote continuous improvement and foster engagement.
- Develop and maintain professional communication networks with other facilities to share best practice, reduce duplicate workload, and collaboration activity.

Job PurposeThis position is within the Facilities department within Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLCβs. Role Description:
Work on a team to perform facilities equipment preventative maintenance, repairs, improvements, and reporting, to maintain a high level of customer service in building, equipment, and utility operations.Β
Continuously develop associate skills through Honda maintenance training program and find ways of introducing technologies and efficiency improvements.
- Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and building controls). Perform daily assigned work order tasks and communicate any follow-up needed
- Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield. Suggest and revise preventative maintenance to properly maintain facilities equipment
- Performs equipment failure analysis (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance).Β Troubleshoots and diagnose equipment problems.Β
- Participate in a reliability centred maintenance program for equipment. Participate in team activities to develop and maintain long term equipment reliability. About this Position:
An Equipment Service Technician at Honda Development and Manufacturing of AmericaΒ maintains, repairs, and implements improvements to various types of manufacturing equipment which allows the manufacturing areas achieve their safety, quality, and production targets.
