Telyon is seeking an Associate Counsel with construction or financing background to support our growing legal function. This role is ideal for an attorney early in their in-house journey who wants hands-on exposure to financing, renewables, and construction-related contracting. The Associate Counsel will work closely with our General Counsel and cross-functional teams to support commercial agreements, project financing, diligence, and day-to-day corporate matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts (EPC, O&M, vendor, customer, NDAs, finance documents, etc.).
- Support project financing transactions, including due diligence and coordination with internal teams.
- Conduct legal research related to construction, renewable energy, and commercial contracting.
- Maintain templates, playbooks, and organized contract tracking processes.
- Support corporate governance and documentation.
- Identify risk areas and propose practical solutions in partnership with project, development, engineering, and finance teams.
- Coordinate with external counsel as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Must have renewable/solar legal experience
- 2–3 years of legal experience, ideally including exposure to: project finance, renewable energy, construction or commercial contracting
- Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

We are partnering with a well-established law firm seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This is a strong opportunity for a junior attorney looking to build litigation experience while working in a supportive environment with hybrid flexibility.
Position: Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense
Location: Clinton, CT
Work Type: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite / remaining remote)
Experience Required: 1–3 years
Billable Requirement: 1,800 hours
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with insurance defense and general litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and court appearances
- Communicate with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
- Support case preparation for mediations, settlements, and trial
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Connecticut
- 1–3 years of litigation experience required
- Insurance defense experience preferred but not required
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters effectively

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position can be between $90,000- $110,000 base annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
