The catheterization laboratory consists of 2 fully equippedsuitesboth capableof performing hybrid/surgical procedures. The complete range of interventional procedures are performed includingtranscatheterseptaldefect closure, complex pulmonary artery stents, pulmonary valve implantation, patentductusarteriosusstents, revascularization of occluded vessels, hybrid procedures andtranscatheterstage I procedures.
The successful candidate will join an experienced interventional cardiology partner, a team of17pediatric cardiologists, and2 nursepractioners.Our team includes specialists inelectrophysiology, interventional cardiology, advanced imaging,pulmonary hypertension,neurodevelopment, cardio-oncology,adult congenital heartdiseaseand fetal carecenter. We provide care through theDetroit Metropolitanandsouth-east Michiganareas, supported by 2congenital heart surgeons, adedicated pediatric cardiacanesthesia team, and cardiacintensivistsproviding 24/7 in-house care in the PediatricCardiovascular IntensiveCare Unit at Children's Hospitalof Michigan.
Childrens Hospital of Michigan is the leader in treating the most children for inpatient cardiovascular care in the Metropolitan Detroit area.The PediatricCardiologists and Pediatric Cardiovascular surgeons at Childrens Hospital of Michiganprovidea full range of advanced cardiac services for newborns, infants, children,adolescentsand adultswith congenital oracquiredheart disease.Our program is alsodesignatedas one of two UNOS certified cardiac transplant centers in the state of Michigan.

Work week iscomprisedofat least2 days in thecathlab, 1 day of clinic, and 1 administrative day
Shared call of 1:3 with two other Interventional Cardiologists for thecathlab rotation
Attending Cardiology in-patentservice 4weeks per year
Academic appointment through Central Michigan University
Affiliation with Central Michigan University, Michigan State University, and Wayne State University School of Medicine for collaboration in teaching and research
