Overview: Functions as a team member of the Vascular Diagnostics Laboratory providing prompt, accurate, thorough non-invasive vascular testing and completing advanced provisional reports in a fast-paced work environment.
Completes exams for outpatient clinics, which include advanced specialized interventions from UF Health Vascular Surgery, as well as inpatient exams including neonates through Gerontology, ICU, ER and ongoing research trials.
Responsible for performing examinations as well as assisting in the daily operations which include, but are not limited to, IAC quarterly data, precepting interns and fellows, assisting with vascular OR cases, and rotation of charge role duties.
Daily studies include, but are not limited to, vein mapping, abdominal aorta-AAA screening, abdominal aorta Iliac duplex, arterial Doppler upper or lower extremities, arterial Doppler lower extremity with or without exercise, renal artery duplex, mesenteric (SMA/celiac) duplex, venous insufficiency, thoracic outlet, graft scan lower and upper extremity with or without ABI, pre-op assessment for AVF placement, arterial mapping, AVF duplex hemodialysis graft, venous duplex upper or lower extremity, AVF (Fistula) duplex, and carotid.
Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Completion of formal education and/or training in Vascular Technology, registered or registry eligible RVT through the ARMDS or RVS through CCI within 12 months of hire.
One year experience in a Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory, Cardiovascular Laboratory or closely associated allied health field is preferred.
