Overview:

Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Completion of formal education and/or training in Vascular Technology, registered or registry eligible RVT through the ARMDS or RVS through CCI within 12 months of hire.

One year experience in a Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory, Cardiovascular Laboratory or closely associated allied health field is preferred.

Other duties Includes but not limited to, coordinating with social work to ensure housing and insurance issues are addressed with patients and families. Will coordinate with case management to ensure all home needs/equipment are furnished for home/outpatient use. Will review charts to assure information and appointments are correct. Follow documentation protocols to ensure communication with patients and families is documented appropriately. Will consolidate clinical information to develop long term survivorship summaries. Will coordinate acquisition of clinical summaries, pathology slides/report and imaging for new patient referrals. Will coordinate interdepartmental and interinstitutional needs required for patients needing multidisciplinary treatments (i.e. radiation and surgery) outside of our Division. Will send information needed to facilitate second opinions for treatment in other institutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. One year of specialty experience or two years of ambulatory care or hospital-based experience \ preferred. Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse. Certification in area of specialty preferred. Proven ability to multitask, problem solve and be a team player is essential.
