About the Role

Our General Liability team represents restaurants, retail stores, and other businesses in a wide range of matters, premises liability, products liability and business litigation. Our practice also encompasses the defense of personal and catastrophic injury claims, and foodborne illness disputes. We are seeking a highly motivated and well-rounded General Liability Associate with at least one (1) year of experience in to join our team.

As an associate, you will work closely with experienced litigators and industry-leading partners, gaining hands-on experience in every stage of litigation—from case evaluation and discovery to mediation, arbitration, and trial. Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, preparing meet and confer letters, and handling discovery-related motions.
• Take and defend depositions, attend site inspections, and interview witnesses.
• Appear at court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies, including case evaluation and risk assessment.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout litigation.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
• One (1) year of civil litigation experience.
• Proven experience in premises liability litigation, ideally in a law firm environment.
• Strong legal research and writing abilities with keen attention to detail.

In this role, you will be helping test medical standards IEC 60601-1-2 in the labs and collaborating with the R&D group. You will support product development using EMC hardware and software throughout all stages of development and assist in the planning, communication, and risk assessments with the R&D team.

• Communicate with internal/external labs, technicians, and design engineers to accomplish valuable results at optimal cost
• Document and execute all V&V tests compliant with medical device QSR, ISO 13485

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP Business One solution design and implementation for manufacturing and financial projects
• Analyze, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes, including:
• Production planning and scheduling
• Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings
• Inventory and warehouse management
• MRP, costing, and cost control
• Design, configure, and support financial modules, including:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Cost accounting and financial controls
• Financial reporting and month-end / year-end closing processes
• Gather and document business requirements and translate them into SAP Business One solutions
• Work closely with developers on add-ons, integrations, APIs, and customizations
• Support data migration, system testing, user training, and go-live activities
• Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations
• Act as a key functional advisor to business users and project stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Business One
• Proven experience as a Solution Consultant / Senior Consultant
• Strong hands-on experience in Manufacturing and Finance modules
• Solid understanding of end-to-end business processes and ERP best practices
• Experience with SAP Business One add-ons (Boyum, Produmex, Beas – a plus)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with business users onsite
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as needed

• 5 years’ experience handling litigated liability claims
• Expert knowledge of property/casualty insurance coverages as well as the claim adjustment process and the ability to effectively explain it to insureds and other parties.
• Experience writing reservation of rights letters
• Understand and comply with company claim handling procedures as well as applicable department of insurance regulations
• In a professional and timely manner respond to inquiries and requests for assistance both verbally and in writing, from policyholders as well as departments of insurance;
• Experience handling subrogation claims
• Work closely with legal counsel on litigated files and attend mediations, arbitrations and/or trials when necessary
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Texas license preferred
