Performs visual and electronic, electrical and mechanical inspection and testing of parts and products. Works to achieve minimum defect levels while improving overall quality and customer satisfaction levels.
What you will be responsible for:
- Observes and monitors production operations for functioning, operation, and accuracy to verify adherence to functional specifications.
- Ensures compliance with ISO and assigned governmental and divisional quality policies, programs, plans, and procedures and applies them consistently and accurately.
- Audits work policies, practices, processes, records and documentation for compliance and makes corrections as required. Ensures compliance with governmental regulations.
- Executes changes in methods, sampling techniques and control procedures and processes to ensure maximum quality for cost.
- Coordinates with other departments, including operations, engineering, HR, accounting and sales to implement approved programs.
- Prepares accurate and timely preparation of error and/or salvage reports. Makes recommendations to minimize such errors.
- Continually works to achieve short-term and long-term quality objectives, goals and measurements.
- Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the corporation, and the community.
- Maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications
What you will need to be successful in this role:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Aerospace industry experience is strongly preferred
- ISO9001 experience is preferred
- Ability to perform internal audits

Responsibilities & Expectations:
We are looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. As a Manual Machinist for IPS, you will identify problems and make necessary adjustments as they relate to industrial AC/DC electric motors and generators. You will use a variety of manual machine tools and balancing equipment for rotating machinery, while following service center safety procedures. You will need to have excellent attention to detail and an ability to work from drawings, sketches, and blueprints. Please view the following day-to-day responsibilities: Diagnose incoming units, disassemble, repair, assemble, and prepare items for shipment
- Operate conventional manual machining tools including engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines, and related equipment
- Safely use overhead, gantry cranes, and lift trucks, and associated lift rigging
- Perform mechanical measurements using portable mechanical instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, and portable vibration measurement equipment
- Machine and fabricate parts using engine lathes, grinders and drill presses
- Draw accurate prints for parts needing to be fabricated
Qualifications and Competencies:
- At least 2 years of related experience, 6 years preferred using manual machining equipment, or equivalent education and experience preferred
- Ability to read micrometer measuring equipment
- Motor shop, machine shop, tool & die stamping, or oil field experience preferred
- Ability to operate manual lathes of various sizes and dimensions
- Ability to operate electroplating equipment
- Ability to work with tolerances of +/- .001
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required

- Performs most complex setups and machine tool operations. This includes turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, reaming, tapping, sawing, slotting, grooving, grinding, and other required actions to complete the job.
- Ability to work to extremely close tolerances.
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings, sketches, job scopes, and verbal instructions.
- Maintains equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements and notifying the appropriate representative for troubleshooting and repairs.

The Emergency Management Specialist will support BUMED Operations Center and Crisis Action Team training and operations. Maintain emergency notification systems and ensure readiness across all platforms.
Federal Coordinating Center (FCC) Specific Responsibilities:
- The Emergency Management Specialist will maintain and update the FCC's partner engagement database.
- Develop and revise FCC SOPs and training modules.
- Facilitate monthly interagency meetings and manage action tracking.
- Emergency Management Specialists process and report on resource requests weekly.
- Conduct policy reviews and develop CONOPS and implementation plans.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
