Job Details Responsibilities: As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for the following: 1.

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.

Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

3.

Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.

4.

Coordinate and complete annual audits.

5.

Provide recommendations for improving systems and processes, and manage the implementation of these improvements.

6.

Meet financial accounting objectives.

7.

Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes.

8.

Manage and monitor intercompany transactions and procedures.

9.

Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations and laws.

10.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications: To be considered for the Assistant Controller position, candidates must possess the following: 1.

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

A Master’s degree or CPA designation is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting in the sales industry.

3.

Proven experience in managing intercompany transactions.

4.

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

5.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.

6.

Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.

7.

Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

8.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

9.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

10.

  • Assist with initiating quotes in support of client product requests.

  • Own and process Quality Management Standard documents - including ISO forms, Return Material Authorizations (RMA) and quality control action plans.
  • Within the ERP system, capture of all supporting documentation for orders and portfolios included but not limited to freight invoices, inventory management documents and coordinate product receipt and release from location warehouse.
  • Partner with Corporate Depts to ensure orders are processed for billing in a timely manner


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and virtual communication and collaboration tools – such as Microsoft Teams, Webex and Zoom.
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system experience required.
  • Experience in a corporate sales and service environment is preferred.

Job Summary
