Superintendent is a field manager position responsible for managing day to day operations of construction sites including supervision of subcontractors, material deliveries, and schedule. Field Management:

  • Interpret and understand construction drawings and contract documents.
  • Utilize GRAND software (Procore, Bluebeam, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office)
  • Responsible for the supervision, direction, communication, and development of the project team.
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
  • Direct and align manpower resources to meet execution goals.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
  • Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Walk project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Communicate with project team regarding ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.


Quality Control:

  • Manage and implement Grand’s pre punch QC walk through on all assigned projects.
  • Create, monitor, and update the project punch list.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regard to quality of work or scheduling.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.


Communication

  • Take ownership of project information and deliver project status to appropriate parties.
  • Validate project status and make recommendations to ensure that execution goals are met.
  • Maintain customer relationships by staying engaged with the customer throughout the project.
  • Communicate with customer management to resolve any conflicts or issues that arise throughout the phases of the project.
