- This position joins 6 other medical dosimetrists dedicated to this department and a larger team of 40+ dosimetrists across the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Network.
- Collaboration and remote support across the group is facilitated by our integrated ARIA/Eclipse and Citrix-based IT infrastructure, as well as standardized policies, procedures, and care pathways across UPMC.
- The medical dosimetrist is responsible for generating clinically optimal treatment plans for radiation therapy patients in collaboration with radiation oncologists, radiation therapy technologists, and medical physicists.
- This includes participating in CT simulation, radiation treatment planning, quality management for radiation oncology patients, and communicating with the clinical team during treatment planning and treatment plan implementation.
- Treatment techniques include 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and motion management (e.g., respiratory gating and DIBH). UPMC Shadyside delivers radiotherapy treatments with a variety of platforms(2 Varian TrueBeams, 1 Varian Halcyon, and 1 Reflexion).
We offer a Dosimetry career ladder which allows our staff to grow within the field at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. The incumbent will be placed into the appropriate level of our Dosimetry Career ladder based on education and experience.
- Staff/Sr. Dosimetrist salary range between $48.08/hr. to $73.65/hr.
- Sr. level requires three (3) years of post-graduate clinical medical dosimetry experience.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in acquisition of patient data via computer generated data sets from medical imaging devices such as CT, PET, MR, etc., or manual methods such as physical measurements and wire contours, and incorporation of these data into radiation treatment plans, calculations, and treatment devices.
- Assists the RTT in the treatment simulation process including the use or necessity of ancillary treatment devices, patient immobilization techniques, and other patient positioning techniques as needed for simulation and treatment. Assists in fabrication of these ancillary treatment devices.
- Contours and delineates clearly discernable normal critical structures and expanded planning structures using different imaging modalities.
- Performs rigid and deformable image registration for multi-modality image sets.
- Applies the principles and concepts of radiation physics in radiation treatment planning, which includes, but is not limited to: 2D treatment planning, 3D conformal treatment planning, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) treatment planning, 4D treatment planning, volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) planning, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) planning, and brachytherapy treatment planning.
- Applies knowledge of radiobiology with respect to dose tolerances, time dose fractionation calculations, hypofractionation, BED and EQD2 calculations and other applications of radiobiology to the radiation therapy treatment process.
- Accurately performs radiation dose calculations, both manual and computer generated, for treatment delivery including the effects of beam modifying devices, irregular fields, gaps for adjacent fields, and off-axis calculations.
- Participates in special treatment procedures including, but not limited to, total body irradiation (TBI), total skin electron irradiation (TSEI), intra-operative radiation therapy (IORT).
- Assists with quality assurance procedures as directed by a qualified medical physicist.
- Performs or assists with patient-specific radiation measurement including, but not limited to diodes, optically stimulated luminescent dosimeters (OSLD), ion chambers, thermo-luminescent dosimeters (TLD), or film measurements as directed by the MP.
- Assists with high dose rate (HDR) and low dose-rate (LDR) brachytherapy procedures including patient set up, simulation, and treatment planning.
- Participates in quality management in accordance with departmental policies, national guidelines, and accreditation standards.
- Performs routine chart checks per departmental policy.
- Participates in charge capture and generates documentation for billing in accordance with departmental policies.
- Participates in clinical research for the development and implementation of new techniques in radiation therapy.
- Participates in educational activities such as providing instruction and training to new staff members, physician residents, physicist residents, RTT trainees, and medical dosimetrist trainees.
- Maintains an atmosphere of caring, concern, and support for patients, visitors, medical staff, and colleagues.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as directed by supervising medical physicists.
- Adheres to high ethical standards in relation to patients, students, trainees, and colleagues.
- Ensures accurate data transfer of patient and treatment plan information to clinical systems including but not limited to record and verify systems, imaging guidance systems, surface guidance systems, treatment delivery systems, and electronic medical record systems.

What you’ll do in this role:

Senior Merchandise Planner – Candy
Position Summary
The Senior Merchandise Planner – Candy is responsible for driving financial and inventory planning strategies for the candy category to maximize sales, margin, and inventory productivity. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Buying, Supply Chain, and Finance to develop and manage Open to Buy (OTB), seasonal and promotional forecasts, and long-range category plans. The ideal candidate has deep experience planning candy or confectionery categories, understands seasonality and promotional intensity, and excels in data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Open to Buy Management
- Own and manage Open to Buy (OTB) at a detailed level (department, category, vendor, and SKU).
- Build and maintain weekly, monthly, and seasonal OTB plans aligned with sales, margin, and inventory targets.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities within OTB and recommend actions to optimize inventory flow.
- Partner with Merchants/Buyers to ensure purchasing decisions align with financial plans.
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Develop accurate sales, inventory, and margin forecasts for the candy category, accounting for:
- Seasonality (e.g., Halloween, Easter, Valentine’s Day)

Salary and Benefits
Annual Base Salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows:
GL-5/GL-7 $49,739 - $89,518 per year
Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others. A fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without reapplying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level.
Border Patrol Agents are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional ROTH 401(k) offering.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.
Typical assignments include:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations
- Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband
- Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks
- Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR
Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
You qualify for the GL-7 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One year of specialized work experience that shows you have the skills necessary to:
- Make sound judgments and decisions in the use of firearms.
- Deal effectively with people in a courteous and tactful manner in connection with law enforcement matters.
- Analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions where you will be expected to make arrests after the completion of required training and apply these skills in a law enforcement capacity such as criminal code enforcement, determining violations of laws, correctional or rehabilitation work involving criminal offenders, security, military, etc.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership. Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university; OR
A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
Note: If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GL-9 and or GS-11 grade level. Please refer to the BPA GL-9 - 11 announcement.

Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Border Patrol Agent position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).

Formal Training: After you are hired, you will be detailed to the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico, for approximately six (6) months of intensive instruction in immigration and nationality laws, law enforcement and USBP-specific operations, driver training, physical techniques, firearms, and other courses. Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English. Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient with the Spanish language at the Academy.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
To manage the Service Department within an assigned area to ensure customer expectations are exceeded in the maintenance, repair, and service of equipment whilemaintainingacceptable profitability. Note, in smaller assigned areas this position may be combined with the InstallationSupervisor, andstill referred to as "District Service Manager", while those responsibilities would be included with these.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure customer expectations are exceeded in the maintenance, repair, and service of equipment.

The position mustmaintainup-to-date technical knowledge on all products sold by the district as well as major industry trends and competitive products.
This positionis responsible forbuilding a strong Service Team.This includes forecasting personnel needs to assure sufficient staff is available to meet demand while keeping overtime costs within acceptable parameters, and screening and hiring new Service Technicians.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all Technicians are trained, including initial as well as ongoing training, and ensuring progress in completing the Technician Training Standard and movement through the ASAPP levels of development.
This positionis responsible formanaging the safety of all Technicians.This includes ensuring initial and periodic safety training, ensuring that all Technicians have proper, functioning safety equipment, periodic inspections of equipment and safety audits, and enforcing safety policies and compliance with applicable occupational safety and health regulations.Should an accident occur, this positionis responsible forcompleting the proper documentation, investigating the accident, and takingappropriate steps(including corrective action, ifwarranted) to minimize future risks.
This positionis responsible forenforcing all Company policies and performance standards. This includes making all employees aware of these policies throughan effectiveorientation, communicating changes, setting expectations for performance, and holding employees accountablethrough the use ofcorrective action as appropriate.
This positionis responsible fordeveloping Technician Team Leaders in their roles and developing them to be ready for future opportunities within the Company.
In addition to managing Arbon employees, the District Service Manager has secondary responsibility for supporting the installationportionof the business, including help with non-major projects (handled by Regional Project Managers or Installation Manager) and for the effective use of subcontractors and any required union labor.This includes helping to find new subcontractors or sourcing union labor, as needed, certifying, training and developing subcontractors, and managing the performance of allthird partylabor, and lend Service employees to Installation as directed, and working with the Installation Manager to coordinate Installation Technicians supporting the service operations, as needed.
This positionis responsible formonitoring andidentifyingperformance problems in service personnel and for taking a proactive approach to correcting negative behaviors.At a minimum, this positionis responsible forconducting 2 performance reviews with all direct reports each year.As part of the performance appraisal process, the incumbent will work with each employee in setting performanceobjectivesat the beginning of each year, or when the employee joins the company.
The incumbentis responsible forinstilling a team atmosphere among the members of the service department and acrossfunctionalline.The incumbent will work in concert with the District Operations Manager, District Sales Managers, Installation Managers/Regional Project Managers, Administrative Managers, and Technician Team Leaders in developing and implementing strategies that will maximize synergies between functions and promote teamwork.
This positionis responsible forfleet management of the service vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance is conducted and that each Technician has a safe vehicle thatcomplies withapplicable regulations.
This position works with theSenior ServiceManager or VPGM to establish proper inventory levels within on each service truck and in each storage facility; develops processes and procedures to ensure that these levels are maintained; and manages the Technicians, Team Leaders, andAdministrativepersonnel to ensure these levels are maintained without accumulating excess inventory.
Working as a team with Administrative and Sales personnel and with customers, this position assists in resolving outstanding collections issues and minimizing the aging of Accounts Receivable.
This positionis responsible formanaging allservice relatedexpenses, including labor, supplies, materials, and travel costs.The Service Manager reviews financial reports monthly,identifyingareas of good and poor financial performance, trends, and ways to improve profitability.
This position will work with Service Coordinators, Service Administrators, and Technician Team Leaders to ensure the efficient scheduling of all maintenance, repair, and service work in the district that results in maximizing service profits while exceeding customer expectations fortimelyservice.
This position ensures the quality of work by all Technicians by ensuring effective training, regular quality audits, and periodic spot-checks.
This position serves as a resource to the sales staff byassistingwith the technical aspects of sales.
This position will also serve as thepointperson for any customer having a technical question on our product or aservice relatedquestion.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The successful individual willpossess:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Background in construction management preferred. Anin depthknowledge of Rite-Hite products isrequired. Must be able to read and understand all documentspertaining toproject planning. CADproficiencyhelpful.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS
The idealindividualwilldemonstrate:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability towriteroutine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees oforganization.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnishedin written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Service Manageris responsible forprofitably managing a service business with up to 30 employees in 2-5 service zones. Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe organization's policies and applicable laws.

The hiring range for this position in USA-NY-Cheektowaga is $84,800.00-$127,050.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The number of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
