Position Summary:

As a Project Engineer you will play a critical role in the overall leadership and successful and timely delivery of complex multimillion-dollar fast-track, complex heavy-civil, highway and bridge projects from pre-construction stage through project execution and completion.

• Actively participate in the over-all day-today operational and decision-making project management functions including accountability for project execution and P&L results.
• Provide leadership to ensure adherence to the company's "core values" standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in the procurement, buy-out, and management of subcontractors, suppliers/vendors to ensure work is delivered timely, safely, and compliant to quality standards.
• Track and verify accuracy of project productions, cost coding of manhours, equipment and in-place quantities are documented daily. Prepare and submit accurate project cost reporting, revenue, and cash flow projections.
• Manage all project engineering activities that comply with the company's process, procedures, and contractual requirements.
• Maintain project submittal process to ensure timely receipt, review and approval of submittals and shop drawings, as-builts, and other contract required documentation.
• Manage and maintain the project RFI process to ensure timely receipt, review, response close out.
• Implement effective project quality control and quality assurance plans to ensure work is constructed in compliance and is accurately documented through clear and traceable records keeping and reporting.
• Provide technical support for, construction planning, interpretation of design and the development of efficient construction methods.
• Manage the process to develop and produce required design, drawings, engineering calcs, for project components or activities such as crane/hoisting lifts, temporary structures or works, falsework, shoring, formwork, safety systems, etc.
• Manage project close-out including, timely management of punch list, commissioning, and transitional system operations turnover.

Qualifications:

• Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, BlueBeam. Preferred experience utilizing HCSS HeavyJob, Vista, CAD, P6.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in heavy civil construction.
• Comprehensive understanding of civil construction industry practices and standards.
• Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Position Summary:

The Cost Engineer is responsible maintaining a true and accurate cost structure and coordinating reporting elements key to developing accurate cost reports. This is an interface between project management, cost management and accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety first, in everything we do.
• Review project features with Estimating department and ensure that work quantities are being entered correctly on a daily basis.
• Verify proper coding for phases, hours, and slips.
• Close out the completed project phases and verify progress entries.
• Conduct monthly cost review meeting with project team.
• Assign and initiate new cost codes for change orders, tracking items and back charges as required.
• Verify pencil sheets / pay requisitions.
• Take the lead in developing quarterly cost to complete reports.
• Review and process change orders for TMC and subcontractors / vendors.
• Review and process cost adjustments.
• Identify items that are exceeding the budget and communicate to Project Manager.
• Assist project management team with quarterly reports for contract status, contract profit, unit cost report, cost projections, revenue projects, change order status and change order costs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field and / or minimum of 5 years of heavy civil construction experience
• Experience working with project management and a thorough knowledge of heavy construction logistics, resource planning, construction sequencing and material management preferred.
• Familiar with a variety of the field construction concepts practices, and procedures.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Viewpoint Accounting and Job Costing System is desirable.

About the Role

This position supports the planning, design, and execution of land development and site engineering projects. The Civil Engineer works closely with senior staff to produce high-quality site plans, coordinate permitting activities and contribute to successful project delivery from concept through construction.

• Prepare and assist in the design of site plans, grading layouts, utilities and stormwater systems.
• Develop engineering drawings and documents using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Working independently, while ensuring the timely and cost-effective execution of assigned cases;
• Serving as the primary point of contact with clients including development and coordination of case budgets, work orders, site visits, cost estimates, and associated deliverables. Maintaining contact with clients on active cases to provide status updates, including case spend and budget status, and address questions, needs, or concerns at least every other week, or as otherwise agreed upon;

What You'll Do Design Excellence: Create detailed 2D cross-sections, 3D models, and Model-Based Definitions (MBD) within Siemens NX and Teamcenter environments.

Innovative Development: Conceptualize and design gas turbine components, pushing the boundaries of engineering.

Collaborative Engineering: Work with cross-functional teams to define dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances, ensuring optimal manufacturing processes.

Quality Assurance: Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to drive improvements in quality, speed, and precision.

Project Management: Navigate CAD and CAM environments, managing projects within budget and schedule, delivering uncompromising quality.

Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in 3D modeling of aero-engines and gas turbine components; proficiency in Siemens NX/Teamcenter preferred.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing; ability to interpret technical drawings.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with team members at all levels.

Security Clearance: U.S.

citizenship required; active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications Advanced Degree: Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 1-3 years of product definition experience.

Software Proficiency: Experience with Siemens NX CAD Drafting and MBD, and Teamcenter PLM in designing mechanical engine components.
