In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. The Contra Costa County Health Services Department is recruiting Certified Nursing Assistants to assist licensed nursing staff in performing routine tasks in the care and treatment of patients in multiple units within the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez, CA.


Certified Nursing Assistants assist patients with feeding, ambulating, grooming, dressing and other activities of daily living. Additional duties include transporting patients to appointments; taking and recording vital signs; obtaining stool and urine specimens; and other required patient care activities. You will be an important part of the care our patients receive on a daily basis.

Certificates: Possession of a valid certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant issued by the State of California and a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or CPR certification issued by the American Red Cross.


Within six (6) months of hire must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment a Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center approved Crisis Management and Prevention Certificate.

DISASTER SERVICE WORKER

All Contra Costa County employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law. Employment with the County requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker-related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
