Position Overview
The CDL Driver position will safely operate a tractor and transport food products to and from specified customer locations in compliance with Company safety procedures, policies and guidelines and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. This position will deliver orders to key customers in a fast-paced direct delivery environment. The CDL A Driver will also load and unload trailers manually, utilizing company equipment and food industry best practices. This position is also customer-centric and expected to build positive business relationships with customers while delivering products for Mission Driven Distributors.

Key Responsibilities (Not Limited to the Following)
The CDL A Driver will be aligned with the Company's goals, KPI's (Key Performance Indicators), business, operational, sales and customer service priorities.
- Champion and make driving safety a priority at all times while operating a Company assigned vehicle
- Build rapport with customers and provide exceptional service
- Unload & load products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place them in designated customer storage areas
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures, contact management for authorization when discrepancies are identified, manage damaged goods and customer returns, and update delivery records for product tracking
- Comply with Company's food safety and industry standards to ensure contents are maintained and secured inside of the truck to prevent damages
- Collect and secure money (cash or checks) as required during customer deliveries and follow the Company's cash-handling procedures
- Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports and reconcile with appropriate company representative for support and resolution

Qualifications & Experience
The CDL A Driver position requires individuals to have the ability to perform each essential job function. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- A valid Driver's License Minimum (Class A) Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Clean Motor is preferred but applicants will be reviewed with minimal violations for the past 24 months
- Minimum 1-3 years of professional driving experience

About the role:

You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory test results, and donor notification of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).β€―Β 

How you will contribute

  • You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).β€―Β 
  • You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.β€―Β 
  • You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.β€―Β 
  • You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.β€―Β 
  • You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.β€―Β 
  • You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.β€―Β 

What you bring to Takeda:

  • High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirementsβ€―Β 
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedicβ€―Β 
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certificationβ€―Β 
  • Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapyβ€―Β 
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialistβ€―Β 
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital settingβ€―Β

The Delivery Station Supervisor will provide on-shift leadership and will oversee the logistics package sort operation.   • Report to the Logistics Hub Manager to support operational scaling and communicate delays or any issues while quickly analyzing and prioritizing work to prevent failures
