Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise, assign and schedule the work of subordinates in the enforcement of laws and ordinances for the Minneapolis Police Department.
  • Interpret laws, ordinances and court decisions relating to enforcement activities.

Discipline
Prior to moving onto the assessment center, candidates' internal affairs blue cards will be reviewed to determine if they are allowed to continue with the promotional process. An officer's disciplinary record will be considered as part of the selection process and may disqualify an applicant or cause them not to be selected depending on the severity and/or frequency of discipline. Additionally, applicants may be disqualified at any time for any reason outlined in the Civil Service Rules, including sub-standard performance.

OPTIONAL PREPARATION MATERIALS:
Virtual (Video-Based) testing preparation materials will be offered for optional viewing in advance of testing. Typically, a link to a written-examination overview video is sent out approximately 4-6 weeks in advance of the written examination administration date. Subsequently, a link to a set of assessment center orientation videos is sent out thereafter. Both links will be up and available for some period to allow for viewing on your own time, at your convenience. The assessment center videos are detailed and lengthy and may be best viewed across several "sessions" to allow you to best understand the information. The assessment center videos will also briefly cover the "Oral Exam", internally referred to as the Internal Promotional Interview and Assessment. Viewing the orientation videos is not mandatory, though they contain a great amount of information meant to level the playing field and allow you to better succeed in the promotional process. Notification regarding the written examination and assessment center orientations will be emailed to all applicants in advance.

TESTING COMPONENTS:

Written Exam (25%)
  • The Written Exam is tentatively scheduled for May7, 2026, at the Minneapolis Police Academy located at 4119 Dupont Ave N, Minneapolis, MN. Time is forthcoming. Candidates are expected to be seated and ready to begin the examination on the scheduled time. Candidates who are late will not be permitted to take the written examination.
  • The Written Exam is currently in development, and as a result, the passing score has not yet been determined. The passing score will be determined by the test developer (I/O Solutions). Applicants will be notified of the passing score after the administration of the Written Examination.
Assessment Center (55%)
  • The Assessment Center is tentatively scheduled for June 15- June 19th at the the Minneapolis Convention Center located at 1301 2nd Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55403. Times are forthcoming.
  • Only applicants who receive a passing score on the Written Exam will be invited to continue with the Assessment Center process.
  • The Assessment Center will have a passing score as well based on the rating scale employed at the time of the administration. This passing score will be provided to candidates after the administration of the Assessment Center. You will be notified of the passing point and your status within the Assessment Center. No scores will be provided until all components are completed.
Internal Promotional Interview and Assessment or IPIA (20%)
  • The IPIA will be administered at the same time as the Assessment Center.
  • The IPIA is administered via technology and your responses will be video recorded to allow for ratings at a later date.
  • As such, the IPIA will not be evaluated at the time of the Assessment Center administration, nor will the IPIA be evaluated by external law enforcement assessors. The IPIA videos will be reviewed by Human Resources as only those passing the Assessment Center at the designated cut-score will be evaluated.
  • Candidates achieving a passing score on the Assessment Center will have their IPIA videos evaluated by a panel of internal assessors within the MPD.

To support our continued expansion, we are seeking an IT-focused Business Analyst / Management Information Systems (MIS) professional to join our growing team in Minneapolis–Saint Paul, MN.


The Role :


As an IT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging operational requirements with FieldLogs’ technical capabilities. You will work closely with customers, product, and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation, integration, and adoption of our platform.

This position requires strong analytical skills, system understanding, and the ability to translate complex business processes into structured technical specifications within aviation and field operations environments.


Key Responsibilities :


  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
  • Translate operational workflows into functional and technical specifications
  • Support system integration activities, including API coordination and data mapping
  • Ensure alignment between customer enterprise systems and the FieldLogs platform
  • Contribute to implementation projects from requirements definition through deployment
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to clarify technical requirements
  • Support testing phases (UAT), validation, and go-live preparation
  • Prepare documentation including functional specifications and integration documentation
  • Participate in client workshops, solution discussions, and pre-sales scoping when needed


Qualifications :


  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT Business Analysis, MIS, or SaaS implementation environments
  • Strong understanding of enterprise system integration, API interoperability, and data mapping
  • Experience translating business requirements into structured system documentation
  • Exposure to Aviation, MRO, or technician-driven operational environments is a strong advantage
  • Ability to collaborate across international and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving skills
  • Valid authorization to work in the United States

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager - AI Implementation (ServiceNow / Now Assist) to join their team! This position is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota or Denver, Colorado.

Duties:

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of AI solutions within the ServiceNow platform, including Now Assist
  • Manage project scope, timeline, budget, risks, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders
  • Develop detailed project plans and ensure successful execution from initiation through go-live and stabilization
  • Partner with business leaders, technical teams, and vendors to align AI capabilities with business objectives
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, status reporting, and executive communications
  • Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure adherence to PMO standards, governance, and best practices
  • Support roadmap planning and contribute to long-term AI program strategy

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 7+ years of project management experience, including large-scale technology implementations
  • Proven experience leading ServiceNow implementations
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled solutions or enterprise AI initiatives
  • Strong understanding of core project management methodologies such as: Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs
  • Experience implementing Now Assist or other AI capabilities within ServiceNow
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification
  • Experience working in enterprise environments with governance structures
  • Prior experience mentoring junior PMs or leading multi-project programs

The approximate pay range for this position is between $56.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
