Job Summary and QualificationsThe Nuclear Medicine Techs are responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine examinations, with protocols as outlined by the Radiologist and Cardiologist. Scope of practice in nuclear medicine technology includes, but not limited to, the following areas and responsibilities: operation of nuclear medicine instrumentation; performance of diagnostic procedures, patient care, quality control, handling of radiopharmaceuticals, usage of adjunctive medications, in virto diagnostic testing, radionuclide therapy, and radiation safety. Other duties include, but are not limited to, clerical, scheduling, transporting, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the medical imaging management team.What qualifications you will need:

Job Summary and QualificationsThe Free-standing ED (FSED) Float tech is required to work at all Trident Health System free-standing ED Imaging departments to meet the specific needs of each facility.
What you will do in this role:
- Perform all duties relating to the specific primary and post primary imaging modalities in which they are working (both RAD and CT).
- Competently operate all diagnostic RAD and CT equipment to include preparing the rooms with the necessary equipment and supplies for the imaging exam.
- Assist in the primary mission of the FSED Imaging department by ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high-quality scans, protocol adherence, critical thinking, excellent patient care, and obtaining clinically relevant history.
What qualifications you will need:
- Must be ARRT (R) registered with a post primary certification of ARRT (CT) preferred.
- SCRQSA as required
- BLS required
- 1+ years of experience in medical imaging strongly preferred
- Employee must be competent to work at all FSED Imaging departments within Trident Health System.

Operates diagnostic equipment, verifies images and prepares room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Technologist is responsible for assisting in the primary mission of the medical imaging department by ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high-quality CT scans. Other duties include, but are not limited to; clerical, scheduling, diagnostic imaging, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning and anything deemed necessary by the medical imaging management team. Assist in diagnostic work area as needed. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- ARRT required upon hire
- SCRQSA required upon hire
- BLS – Healthcare provider on hire or within 30 days of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- CT registry preferred, but not required, within 6 months of departmental orientation completion date, at which point SCRQSA ARRT will be obtained.
Education:
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and/or ARRT / CNMT.
