The TSR is responsible for monitoring the installation of Sika Sarnafil Roof Systems to ensure correct application procedures are followed. This is an outdoor position that requires extensive traveling to job sites. This individual performs warranty inspections and conducts training sessions for roofing contractor personnel. This position reports to the Regional Technical Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Training of applicators to properly and efficiently install Sika Sarnafil roofing and waterproofing systems in an effort to ensure quality and contractor profitability. Provide training to others as needed.
  • Overseeing the application process by attending job starts and performing in-progress project visits to monitor and enforce proper installation. Assure that application is in accordance with good roofing practices and Sarnafil specifications through documentation with field reports. Help to resolve installation problems and issues as they arise.
  • Conducting final inspections for technical acceptance for warranty issuance.
  • Act as the liaison between the applicator, General contractor, consultant, architect, building owner, and Sarnafil during the installation process.
  • Advising Technical Manager concerning progress, issues, problems project needs.
  • Assist Sales and others with pre-job meetings, roof surveys, and warranty claim issues.
  • Following up on leak and warranty claim calls, and complete necessary Sarnafil repairs as needed.

  • Sales Rep weekly and/or as needed and before new projects.
  • WTI crew members will discuss the scope of work, daily tasks, and the overall schedule.
  • Customer/Client (as needed or required by the Sales Rep) daily and/or weekly.
  • Efficient management of projects will include managing the crew’s start and end times, daily productivity (hours, man-days, etc.), and ensuring tools and materials are available to complete the assigned project safely and efficiently. Complete the project per the approved scope of work or specification and after issuance by the Supervisor.
  • Using a designated company-mandated reporting tool, the Foreman will complete an end-of-day and/or end-of-project walk-through to ensure the quality of workmanship and address any punch list items before leaving the job site.   • Submit all proposals of over $20,000 to the Supervisor for review and approval before submitting them to the GS Administrator for logging and distribution to the Sales Rep.
  • Monitor and manage the Field Reps. Consult with the Supervisor to take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee work-related issues and necessary documentation. Work with the Supervisor to elevate the issues to HR as required.

Trillium Construction is hiring for an entry-level Traveling Field Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering for a 7-month project to support the construction, installation, and commissioning of conveyor systems in an Amazon warehouse and distribution facilities in Kansas City, Missouri, Aurora, Colorado, and Perrysburg, Ohio!


This is a hands-on role designed for recent graduates or early-career engineers who want to gain real-world field experience in automation and material handling projects.


Duties:

  • Support on-site supervision of conveyor system installation and mechanical/electrical construction activities.
  • Assist senior Field Engineers and Project Managers with coordinating contractors, electricians, and mechanical crews.
  • Review drawings and specifications to verify proper installation and identify discrepancies.
  • Track daily progress and provide field updates to the project team.
  • Participate in equipment inspections, quality control checks, and punch list development.
  • Assist with system testing, troubleshooting, and start-up activities.
  • Document field changes, redlines, and commissioning notes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams regarding site conditions and project status.


Compensation:

  • Hourly pay between: $35/hr - $45/hr, depending on experience
  • Per diem at GSA rates
  • Company-paid trips home


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical -Engineering (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in construction, manufacturing, automation, or industrial systems preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies and/or electrical systems.
  • OSHA 10 certification, preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics (training provided as needed).
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work in active warehouse construction environments.
