The Department of OB/GYN (Maternal and Fetal Medicine) at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is in search of a Physician to help continue with our excellent patient care. Appointment at the level of Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or full Professor is available commensurate with experience. Academic appointment, rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and primary board certification. Compensation is highly competitive. A Brief Overview

Provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice or for a specified patient population.

What You Will Do
  • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Trains and supervises medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.
  • May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function.
  • Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.
  • Maintain department productivity thresholds.
  • Maintain faculty status in good standing with the CWRU SOM (if applicable).
  • Adhere to core physician obligations as outlined in the Physician Policy Manual.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Doctorate Degree Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with an unrestricted license (Required)

About the Role:

The Sample Entry Clerk processes incoming samples by unpacking and sorting the samples into trays and prepares them for entry into the LIMS system. The Sample Entry Clerk also logs the information into the LIMS system. To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

About You:
  • Process (Open, sort, prioritize, label and "tray") ALL incoming samples by end of daily shift.
  • Ensure all samples contain correct customer provided information. Add any information from mailing container (such as unit number, compartment type, etc.) or missing information that can be accurately added to the paperwork. Keep all paperwork that arrives with the sample together with the sample.
  • Communicate ongoing customer paperwork issues to the supervisor.
  • Know and follow all safety requirements, utilize appropriate equipment and PPE to ensure safety in the work area.
  • Responsible for organizing samples and lining them in sample trays.
  • Log all sample information into the LIMs system in an accurate and timely fashion to ensure optimal sample turnaround time.
  • Contact customers via phone and email with sample information inquiries.
  • Answer incoming calls into the lab.
