We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Nurse Manager to help lead our growing Pulmonary Progressive Care and Acute Medicine Unit. This role is responsible for the oversight of two floors, ensuring exceptional clinical quality, operational excellence, and team engagement across both services lines. This leader ensures the delivery of high quality, patient centered care for complex respiratory and medically acute populations, including tracheostomy and ventilated patients.

Acute Care Medicine manage patients with a full range of clinical issues-from significant blood dyscrasias, advanced endocrine pathology, heart and renal failure, GI conditions, infectious diseases, asthma, and a multitude of other conditions and diseases. Because of our patient acuity, we provide advanced training to bring new nurses to the highest level of functioning. Each unit is lead by a clinical manager and lead charge nurse. The unit is supported by an advanced practice nurse. Additionally each unit is assigned a case manager, social worker, physical therapist, dietitian, and pharmacist. This multidisciplinary team works in conjunction with the physicians, nurses, and patient care technicians to provide quality patient care.

The Assistant Nurse Manager provides administrative support to Nurse Managers and direct reports. This includes coordinating patient care, performance management of direct reports, equipment purchasing/management, and statistical accumulation.
Responsibilities
* Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
* May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
* Provides and oversees patient care according to planned interventions with regard to their age and developmental needs to attain the patient's optimal level of wellness and documents according to policy.

* The Neuro Step-Down Unit at Barnes Jewish Hospital is a specialized care area designed to provide intermediate-level care to patients with neurological conditions who require close monitoring but are stable enough to transition from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This unit caters to patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, neurosurgical procedures, seizures, and other complex neurological conditions. Nurses in the Neuro Step-Down Unit are trained in advanced neurological assessments, monitoring of neuro-specific symptoms, and the use of specialized equipment, such as intracranial pressure monitors and continuous EEG. With a focus on early rehabilitation and recovery, the nursing staff works closely with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care that supports patients in regaining function and transitioning to less intensive care settings.

The Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 21 bed unit dedicated to the care of patients in need of specialized nursing care at a critical point in their healthcare journey, where they are at high risk for clinical deterioration. Progressive care, with lower nurse patient ratios, allows for frequent assessment, intervention, treatment and specialized monitoring.
The unit cares for pre and postoperative neurosurgical, neuro-medicine and stroke patients with complex needs using a team approach with nurses, charge nurse and patient care techs. Bedside, central monitoring, and remote telemetry are standard for all PCU patients. Many resources are available to nurses on this unit, including: Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Mananger, Assistant Nurse Managers and a Nurse Educator. Additionally this nursing team collaborates with and are supported by a wide array of the multidisciplinary providers, physicians and pharmacists.
A specialized orientation is provided to prepare nurses to care for the neuroscience patient as well as training specific to Progressive Care. Ongoing education and professional development is supported and encouraged.
Attention to nursing patients with the provision of excellent outcomes is what drives the work on this unit.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
CLINIC OPERATIONS:
- Manages the operations of the clinic, including costs, processes, staffing, and quality standards.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and development plans for all direct reports.
- Partners with internal Human Resources, Quality, and Technical Services departments.
- Collaborates with or functions as the Home Therapies Program Manager to oversee the facility’s Home Therapies Program.
- Maintains integrity of medical and operations records and complies with all data collections and auditing activities.
- Accountable for completion of the Annual Standing Order Review and Internal Classification of Disease (ICD) coding.
- Manages clinic financials including efficient utilization of supplies or equipment and regular profits and loss review.
- Responsible for all required network reporting and on-site state or federal surveys.
PATIENT CARE:
- Coordinates all aspects of patient care with the appropriate staff members, from admission through discharge of the patient.
- Ensure education of the patient regarding quality measures, transplant options, modality awareness, and access care.
- Acts as a resource for the patient and family to address concerns and questions.
- Accountable for timely completion of patient care assessments and care plans.
- Manages timely patient schedules to ensure facility efficiency and develops action plans for missed treatments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Conduct scheduled patrols throughout the Museum buildings and exterior, including non-museum property surrounding the premises, on foot, by golf cart, or bicycle for officers with bike patrol certification. (Ex. parking lots, surrounding grounds.)

Additional Duties/Responsibilities:
* First Aid: Administer first-aid to visitors and staff. Requires the ability to kneel and bend down to assist. Notify 911 if necessary.
* CPR: Notify 911 and administer CPR to visitors or staff when appropriate. Requires the ability to kneel and bend down to assist. Must maintain CPR certification.
* Fire Safety: Notify 911, ensure the safe evacuation of visitors and staff, notify Engineering staff, and safely monitor the situation until the danger has cleared. Use extinguishers if safe and appropriate to do so. May conduct annual monthly checks of extinguishers, assist, escort and direct fire safety personnel, and set up and escort Halon system checks.
* Maintain the office dispatch book with up-to-date materials and maps.
* Work the garage ticket booth when St. Louis parking is not available.
* Be flexible to assist the team in addressing the needs of the staff and/or public. This may include performing the duties of a Dispatcher or Gallery Attendant.
* The department is a 24/7 operation, including night shifts. Security officers may be required to work overtime and/or cover additional shifts.
Special Notes:
Employment is contingent on the successful completion of a background check and drug screening in accordance with the Professional Licensing Rules and Procedures of the St. Louis County Police Department.
* After obtaining the proper license, Security officers are considered the first responders of the Museum, and have the power to arrest and detain in incidents occurring on SLAM property. These powers are in effect only while on duty and on the premises that you are paid to protect.
* Security officers are required to carry aerosol pepper spray while on duty. All officers must be certified to do so by attending an approved pepper spray training course. All security officers carry handcuffs in order to detain as required.
* Officers will be periodically required to train for the following: Traffic-control, active shooter, general safety.
* Officers may be posted outside after dark, with or without other officers present. Outside posts are required of all officers, including during inclement weather.
This is a physically active position that may require the following:
* Must be able to stand for up to four hours at a time. Time will vary based on tour of duty as assigned for such shift.

The Director manages both the day-to-day and long-term operations of the conservation department, supervising professional conservators, support staff, fellows, and interns. The Saint Louis Art Museum has an encyclopedic collection of more than 37,000 works. The Conservation Department includes a 6-member team with four conservators and two technicians working in labs dedicated to Objects, Paintings, Paper, Textiles, and Matting/Framing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Department Management:
* Lead and manage the daily operations of a collaborative Conservation Team, support the department endeavors ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to best practices.
* Provide expert oversight for all conservation treatments on the Museum's collection, whether performed by in-house staff or external contractors, ensuring compliance with the American Institute for Conservation's (AIC) Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice, and the Museum's Collections Management policy.
* Performs job functions of a Senior Conservator in their area of expertise.
* Collaborate closely with the Deputy Director and Chief Curator and other Collections division Directors to develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and strategies for ethical and responsible collection stewardship.
* Ensure adherence to the highest safety and sustainability standards for both artworks and personnel during all conservation activities, including monitor and update protocols for the safe utilization of conservation materials, chemicals, and equipment, prioritizing employee health and safety.
