What you will do:
This position will sometimes be assigned in unit Secretary role and sometimes in Patient care tech role depending on unit needs.
- Orders special care equipment for the patient utilizing unit protocol and hospital computer information systems. Analyzes documents to ensure department specific requirements have been met prior to entering equipment orders or sending appropriate documents to HIM for scanning. Continually updates electronic medical information vital for patient care. When applicable ensures unit specific patient charges are entered into the appropriate information system.
- Triages physician and inter-department questions and resolves or refers to appropriate staff as needed. Performs customer service support utilizing the AIDET approach, answering telephones and may escort patients to treatment areas.
- Provides patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients with ADLs, answering and responding to patient call lights, bed making, etc.
- Obtains patient temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, saturation of peripheral oxygen reading, intake and output checks, BG checks (POC), and reports abnormalities to the appropriate individual. Performs procedures as directed by the RN such as thermal applications, perineal care, removal of IVs and Foley catheters, emptying of foley bags, application of restraints, backrubs, etc. Collects specimens such as urine, feces, sputum, and delivers as necessary.
- Documents basic patient care, supply and equipment orders (i.e. specimen collections, basic labs, diet orders, EKG?s) as directed per unit protocol, into the electronic medical record
- Transports medications, which are not controlled substances. May be authorized to access secured medication storage locations to perform job related functions.
- Assists nursing and clerical staff with admitting, discharging, transferring, ambulating and transporting patients as directed. Obtains confirmation of diagnostic or medical appointments.
- May perform duties of an Observation Assistant as needed.
- Provides administrative support including photocopying, electronic transmission of medical information to physicians, contacting physicians? offices, pharmacy, and coordination with other departments to facilitate patient care and record keeping. What you will do:
- Performs routine tasks to assist the provider in patient care related activities. Cleans and maintains exam and treatment rooms and stocks clinical supplies and equipment. Escorts patients to exam/treatment rooms. Practicing good customer relations, collects and documents patient data and history regarding nutrition, activity, mental state, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height and weight. - Performs various clerical functions; answers telephones, relays and responds to patient messages with physician direction. Updates and processes patient medical records with all patient communication. Schedules appointments and documents patient referrals when needed. Coordinates patient care through the appropriate triaging of patient phone calls and call backs as assigned by the provider when applicable
- Manages patient contact and follow up as directed and by electronic medical record (EMR) tasks. Follows up on all overdue orders, verbal and written, as identified in the electronic record task box. Provides accurate documentation on patient compliance with follow up and notifies physician of all refusals for orders. Documents all interventions, results, patient / family interactions, and medications dispensed in the record.

Position Summary
The Manager of Quality Assurance leads and strengthens quality systems across multiple facilities. This role ensures consistent product quality, regulatory compliance, and effective execution of quality and food safety programs across manufacturing operations and supplier networks. The ideal leader is structured, process-driven, and able to bring clarity and accountability to quality procedures while balancing cost efficiency and operational realities.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Lead SQF, HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and regulatory compliance across all locations.
- Maintain audit readiness through structured project plans and accurate documentation.
- Strengthen CAPA and root cause analysis systems.
- Monitor production activities and address risks proactively.
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
Supplier Quality & FSVP Oversight
- Oversee supplier qualification, approval, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Maintain FSVP compliance and review incoming material documentation.
- Investigate supplier deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Partner with procurement and operations to support quality and supply reliability.
Customer-Facing Quality Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality communication.
- Lead customer complaint investigations with timely, structured responses.
- Identify trends and implement improvements to reduce repeat issues.
- Reinforce the organization’s commitment to product integrity and long-term partnerships.
Production & Specification Oversight
- Work closely with production teams to ensure products meet customer-specific requirements.
- Understand agricultural raw material variability (color, granulation, moisture, form) and its production impact.
- Support compliant deviations, reblends, or formulation adjustments when needed.
- Improve and document processes related to variability management.
- Ensure quality documentation enables timely release of finished goods.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead quality teams across multiple sites with clear roles and accountability.
- Develop department KPIs aligned with company objectives.
- Foster collaboration across production, operations, and supply chain.
- Establish consistent communication rhythms and build a cohesive, accountable quality organization.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement data-driven improvements.
- Enhance ERP usage, documentation visibility, and general quality systems effectiveness.
- Promote continuous improvement while balancing quality standards with operational and cost considerations.
Required Qualifications
- 7–15+ years of quality leadership experience in food or ingredient manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of GFSI, FSMA, and food safety systems.
- Experience partnering with production teams and managing customer specifications.
- Proven ability to create structured project plans and documentation systems.
- Experience with FSVP and supplier quality programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Team management and cross-functional leadership experience.
- Proficiency in ERP platforms, quality software, and standard computer applications.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
