Our client, a diagnostics company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System for a high-complexity molecular diagnostics laboratory. This role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with CLIA, CAP, and NYSDOH requirements while supporting efficient laboratory operations.


This position requires a quality professional who can operate effectively in a growing organization, building foundational quality systems from the ground up while partnering closely with Laboratory Operations. Key Responsibilities


  • Establish and maintain a right-sized QMS aligned with CLIA, CAP, and NYSDOH requirements.
  • Build and own core quality processes, including document control, change management, deviations, CAPA, training and competency oversight, internal audits, management review, supplier quality, and reagent quality oversight.
  • Lead the prioritization, creation, implementation, and training of SOPs in a phased, risk-based manner that is aligned with laboratory readiness and business milestones.
  • Lead or support inspection readiness and regulatory audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up.
  • Partner closely with Laboratory Operations, Tech Transfer, Automation, IT, and R&D to integrate quality into daily workflows and ensure systems are usable and effective.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions using risk-based root cause analysis.
  • Define, track, and trend quality metrics to identify systemic risks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Operate effectively in a lean QA environment, sharing quality system ownership and execution with the Director of Quality.

Position Summary

The GIS Route Analyst reports to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing routes across Athens Services’ municipal service areas in the greater Los Angeles region. Using GIS platforms and route optimization software, this role transforms spatial and operational data into efficient route plans that reduce costs, improve service quality, and support contract compliance across multiple lines of business. Essential Responsibilities


Route Design & Optimization

  • Design, build, and optimize routes across all lines of business — residential collection, commercial front-load, roll-off, back yard service (BYS), and street sweeping — using RouteSmart, Descartes, or comparable route optimization software.
  • Develop dynamic daily route plans for on-demand service lines including roll-off container delivery/pickup and bin/cart equipment replacement operations.
  • Plan and optimize multi-vehicle coordinated routing for operations that require sequenced vehicle timing, including scout operations (staging equipment ahead of main collection vehicles) and Back Yard Service (BYS) operations (coordinating smaller service trucks with centralized mother truck staging locations to minimize downtime across the fleet).

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree (Business preferred)
  • 7 to 10 year's management experience.
  • Experience managing a transportation operation or warehousing operation.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other related state and federal regulations.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to coach and develop subordinates.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with general public and regulatory agencies as well as political contacts.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience in the waste-recycling or transportation industries.


Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 Depending on Experience
