Supplier Quality: Occasionally audit raw material suppliers to ensure ingot chemistry and cleanliness meet aerospace standards.
Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of quality engineering experience specifically within an aerospace forging environment.
Certification Knowledge: Deep familiarity with AS9100 standards and a proven track record with NADCAP special process audits.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and interpreting metallurgical test reports.
Problem Solving: Strong background in formal Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) processes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
Preferred Attributes Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
Experience with forging-specific defects (e.g., laps, bursts, flow lines).

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with precision mechanical parts inspection.
- Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
- Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions (tolerances ?.005") using hand tools (e.g., indicators, micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
- Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.
- Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
- Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certification in inspection techniques or GD&T is a plus.

Position Overview:
As our Nuclear Welder, you will weld a variety of metals completing welding details on materials ranging from heavy machined parts to thinned wall components using weld jigs, fixtures, special machine racks and frames, and like items.

Your Day to Day as a Nuclear Welder:
- Perform delicate weld operations on very expensive components and assemblies and other difficult details. May necessitate the adaptation of available fixtures.
- Work from specific approved procedures and complex blueprints. Work in close cooperation with weld engineer, weld inspector, and other authorized personnel.
- Reads and strictly complies with weld blueprints, weld procedures, and work instructions.
- Grinding to remove slag inclusions, excessive weld, burrs, or other pre-post steps required to make an acceptable weld.
- Must become certified to all requirements of BWXT contracts pertaining to welding and/or brazing, imposed on BWXT both now and in the future.
- Inspect all work using appropriate measurement instruments.
- Refers all issues/problems to supervisor for disposition.
- Completes and maintains all documentation as directed by work instructions and policies.
- Cleans machine, tooling, and parts.
- Performs machine maintenance, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Follows and complies with all operation instructions, work rules, and safety policies.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manual and automatic gas tungsten arc and/or shield arc welding, completion of an accredited training program will be considered.
- Brazing and soldiering skills, preferred.
- If necessary, be able to demonstrate ability to perform above skills on a test piece.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, procedures, and work instructions.
- Possess skills necessary to maintain accurate documentation.

Purpose of the Job
The Director of Construction is responsible for overseeing all construction operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will lead and manage project teams, supervise construction managers, and act as a liaison between executive leadership and field operations. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and deep industry knowledge to ensure the company's construction projects meet client expectations and safety regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all construction operations, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, safety, and resource allocation
- Supervise and mentor project executives, project managers, superintendents, and subcontractor partnerships across all active projects
- Review and Monitor construction schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
- Collaborate with preconstruction team and field teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Ensure compliance with building codes, legal regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships; negotiate contracts and resolve performance issues
- Forecast resource needs and coordinate labor, equipment, and materials
- Track project performance and provide regular progress updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements for cost reduction, efficiency, and quality assurance
- Represent the company in meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for the construction department
- Combination of office and on-site work
- 50% travel to project sites and client meetings

Knowledge and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus
- 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project), and budgeting software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- OSHA certification or other safety-related credentials preferred
- PMP or other project management certification is a plus
