The Ride Control Systems Engineer will report to the Executive Ride Control Systems Engineer.

This is a full time role.

What You Will Do:

• Manage entire scope to conceive, design, & deliver control systems for a wide variety of complex and innovative ride systems and related equipment
• Conduct systems engineering for ride control systems
• Define system use cases and user needs
• Develop and capture requirements and functional specifications in documents, drawings, and models
• Ensure compliance with control system safety standards
• Perform engineering design and analysis for ride control systems
• Develop control strategies and algorithms
• Research new products, technologies, and methodologies
• Design, model, and analyze control systems, data communication, and dynamic systems

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years experienced in fail-safe and safety-related control system design
• Extensive knowledge of control processors, components, and communication networks
• Highly proficient in industrial control system installation, integration, and commissioning
• Solid understanding of communication protocols: TCP/IP, CAN, serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT
• Experience with requirements management, test plans/procedures, and test execution
• Demonstrated practice in functional safety standards, including IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 13849
• Familiarity with amusement and automation industry standards, including ASTM F2291
• Solid skills in technical document writing
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for 1-week to 3-year durations
• Ability to handle multiple complex efforts simultaneously, coordinate team efforts, and manage tasks and priorities

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Proficient with engineering design tools, including AutoCAD, Matlab, Simulink, Solidworks

Education

  The hiring range for this position in California is $123,300 to $200,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary

Ride Control Software Engineers work within Imagineering’s Ride Engineering Studio in a highly collaborative environment on diverse teams. Engineering activities cover all aspects of ride control software design and implementation, from concept to commissioning, for a wide variety of innovative ride platforms.

The role of Ride Control Software Engineer Principal (Design Assurance) focuses on design, analysis, system safety, and verification across multiple projects, supporting project teams in critical engineering quality activities.

This role will report to the Executive, Ride Controls Software Engineering.

This position is located in Glendale, CA OR Orlando, FL.

This is a full time role.

Responsibilities:

Conduct design assurance activities in standards and best practices development, partnering with ride engineering partners across Disney Experiences and the amusement ride industry.

• Stay abreast of, and participate in the development of, company and industry standards and methodologies.

• Participate in company committees and industry organizations involved in ride safety and design.

• Maintain and improve engineering processes to meet project delivery and design assurance objectives.

• Conduct design assurance activities for ride project design review and testing, partnering with ride project team members.

• Review ride software designs for compliance with industry and company standards.

• Assess whether designs are of appropriate quality and meet project requirements.

• Advise project teams on optimal ride control software designs, safety analysis methods and results, and testing approaches.

• Mentor and train ride control engineers.

• Prepare and present Disney requirements and design practices for internal training.

• Advocate the processes, standards, and practices that produce quality designs.

• Mentor and assist design engineers with technical challenges, standards, and methodology.

• Mentor ride engineers in design excellence.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 15 years of experience with ride control software design, engineering, installation, and commissioning

• Proficient in fail-safe and safety-related control system design

• Experience with requirements development, test plans/procedures, and test execution

• Extensive knowledge of ride control software architectures

• Solid understanding of communication protocols: TCP/IP, CAN, serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT

• Proficient in automated control software design applying functional safety concepts and standards

• Demonstrated practice in functional safety standards, including IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 13849

• Familiarity with amusement and automation industry standards, including ASTM F2291

What You Will Do:

• Lead Operational Technology (OT)/ Industrial Control Systems (ICS) network architecture and cyber security systems development, design, and implementation for automation and embedded control systems on a wide variety of large-scale, highly complex, and innovative ride systems
• Perform engineering design and analysis for ride system networks, with focus on automation system architecture
• Design and test cyber security solutions and network architectures for ride systems
• Design, model, and analyze data network communication systems
• Research and test new products, technologies, and methodologies and conduct trade-off studies
• Prepare and propose new cyber security and network architecture concepts and standards
• Lead standards and policies development for ride control network and cyber security architectures

Required Qualifications & Skills

• At least 3 years of experience with Linux and Windows system administration experience
• Demonstrated experience in network design and analysis approaches to ensure and balance network availability, performance, resiliency and security
• Knowledge of wired and short-range wireless communication networks used in high availability industrial and embedded applications
• Solid understanding of communication technologies/protocols: TCP/IP, CAN, Serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, 802.11
• Demonstrated experience in wireless communications for control and monitoring high-availability safety critical systems
• Demonstrated experience evaluating and remediating network and system vulnerabilities
• Demonstrated experience with cyber security technologies including firewalls, endpoint security solutions, VPNs, network security monitoring and detection, and security information and event management (SIEM).
• Solid skills in technical document writing

• Support programmable, electrical, and electronic hardware scope to design and deliver control systems for complex, innovative ride systems
• Perform engineering design and analysis for ride systems, focusing on electrical control systems
• Develop control system and network architectures
• Design, model, and analyze electrical supply systems
• Research new products, technologies, and methodologies
• Lead a team of ride control engineers and collaborate with other professionals to develop ride control systems
• Develop control equipment requirements and specifications
• Develop and implement proof-of-concept mock-ups and prototypes

Ride Development Engineering Design Assurance is an all-encompassing role that provides technical oversight and guidance in support of Ride project teams. As Ride engineering experts, they lead the way when it comes to process, standardization, and overall design compliance. Design Assurance Engineers work alongside our project teams to provide experience, knowledge, and expertise to help advance our projects.

This role will work with the Executive Ride Development Engineering.

This is a full-time role.

What You Will Do:

• Serve as Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Ride Engineering design review process to ensure that appropriate engineering/design standards, methods, analyses, and judgment are applied so the engineered products meet the design intent and the business imperatives of safety, reliability, and efficiency.

• Review designs related to Ride Engineering products and provide feedback to project teams and functional management regarding the acceptability of those designs.

• Interpret and develop standards and codes that will be utilized by the Ride Engineering organization.

• Advocate global consistency of solutions for similar problems, and compliance with Disney and external standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

AMCL is looking to recruit a Senior Data Asset Management Consultant into the US team. The role will support the delivery of a variety of consultancy and transformation projects for high profile infrastructure organizations across multiple sectors, including transit, power, municipal, ports, and real estate. The role provides an opportunity to work on a variety of projects including asset management capability improvement and implementation projects, asset information projects, and data analytics.

The role will be based on the West Coast; however, there will be the opportunity to support projects throughout the US West Coast. The candidate can sit out of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, or Seattle.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as a Senior Consultant within the delivery team and support the implementation of business transformation projects, including asset management consultancy, training, and data and information projects.
• Work independently, lead, or collaborate with the wider US or global team to deliver the complete lifecycle of asset management transformation projects, from sourcing to project closure.
• Consult with clients in the improvement of their asset management capabilities.
• Lead and manage the delivery of asset management projects and tasks for clients on time, to budget, and in line with the AMCL project governance requirements.
• Identify, manage, and support business development and sales activities, including identifying new opportunities, supporting bid work, writing proposals, and developing presentations.
• Support project management, including tracking budget and schedule, identifying risks and issues, participate in status meetings, and develop monthly progress reports.
• Deliver project work, including but not limited to, facilitating internal and external interviews and workshops, writing reports, and delivering presentations.
• Conduct data analyses, including analyzing complex datasets; identifying trends and insights; and performing descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Develop financial models, including whole lifecycle cost modeling and analysis.
• Develop and produce asset management artefacts on behalf and in collaboration with clients.
• Contribute to leading thinking on emerging business and asset management topics.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, urban planning, or related fields.
• Minimum of six years of experience performing similar work with or on behalf of an infrastructure organization
• Strong analytical skills, including experience with data analytics and whole lifecycle cost analysis
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VBA, etc.)
• Ability to work autonomously and under minimal direction from project teams to develop high-quality deliverables
• Critical thinker and problem solver, ability to diagnose root causes and apply knowledge and experience to solve problems creatively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts and findings into clear, concise, and accessible insights
• Strong people and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Self-starter, proactive, and takes initiative
• Demonstrates high emotional intelligence and maturity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced management consulting setting, including experience with managing multiple projects/tasks concurrently and delivering projects or tasks on time and to budget.
• Knowledge of relevant asset management guidance and standards, including ISO 55001, the Institute of Asset Management’s Asset Management Anatomy, and the Global Forum for Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) Asset Management Landscape.
• Experience with implementing asset management programs with public sector organizations.
• Experience managing relational databases.
• Experience with extract, transform and load (ETL) (e.g., using SQL queries).
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
  
  

The salary range for this full-time role is $120,000-$140,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend AMCL reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Role: Formulation Chemist

Location: California (Onsite, full time)

I am currently partnered exclusively with a globally recognized industry leading skincare brand in the Personal Care industry, in search for a Formulation Chemist.

We are looking for a 'go getter', the purpose of this position is to support the R&D Manager with skincare bench formulation, you will work amongst industry leading professionals and be trained to a high level.

This individual must be highly skilled in skincare formulation, self sufficient and able to manage multiple project simultaneously.

Requirements:

• 2/3+ years formulation experience with a Personal Care contract manufacturer or brand. Skincare or OTC skincare category experience is most admirable.
• Must be able to turnaround formulations quickly to a high standard.
• Minimum Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a Science Related relevant field.

Responsibilities:

• Keep an organized and orderly laboratory environment.
• Independently work on formulation projects based on product briefs provided by Product Development team.
• Formulate skincare products such as creams, lotions, serums in batch.
• Be able to make necessary formula revisions from testing team.
• Must be able to tech transfer different skincare formulations.
• Be able to for research, formulate and manage cross-functional team projects.
• Conduct necessary stability testing.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of formulations, procedures, observations and results.
• Calculate appropriate specification ranges and create CofAs for formulas.
• Prepare and log samples for submission.
• Work with less senior chemists, validating less senior chemist's formulas.
• Order raw material samples and maintain raw material storage room.
• Be able to navigate a formulation software or database required, such as breaking down formula and entering raw materials such as CAS, INCI, cost information.
• Request raw material documentation from vendors and maintain documents organized in shared folder.
• Assist other lab staff as needed, as well as communicating with Product Development, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams as needed.
• Must be willing to travel to contract manufacturer sites and supervise scale up batches as needed.

Skills:

• Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to independently manage multiple high priority projects.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) or Google Workspace.
• Must be a critical thinker and have strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be agile and comfortable working in fast paced environment.
• Must have strong communication skills and ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience.
