As an Embedded Software Project Lead, you will be hands-on in managing the execution of a technically advanced engineering team in the development of embedded military systems related to the Army Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS) including the Common Robotic System -Heavy (CRS-H), the Common Robotic System -Individual (CRS-I), and the Man-Transportable Robotic system (MTRS).

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3PM - 11PM
What You Will Do
Receive job assignments, piece quantity, and special instructions from the supervisor.
Read standard operating procedures and operating sheets.
Clean, wipe, and sand parts as necessary.
Set torque wrenches and assemble brakes and their components.
Test brakes, rework brakes with leaks, and replace lee plugs as needed.
Stamp information on tags or pads and notify the supervisor of stock needs or machine problems.
Record transactions and quality data; report machine or process issues to the supervisor.
Check parts against the pick list and set up riveters as required.
Torque all applications as required.
Retrieve parts from the warehouse and store/retrieve brake components, maintaining current inventory records.
Prepare brakes and brake components for shipment, including packaging, counting, weighing, labeling, and completing paperwork.
Move materials between workstations and cells using hand trucks, hoists, or robot assistance.
Set aside discrepant parts.
Clean and maintain work areas, machines, auxiliary equipment, and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
Check and maintain operating levels of fluids and required machine materials.
Mask and plug parts as needed and touch up paint as required.
Attend training classes and cell meetings, and perform miscellaneous operations as assigned in support of Brake Assembly.
You will be required to perform mathematical calculations requiring addition, subtraction, multiplication or division and pass a pre-employment qualification test.
You will be required to perform substantial reaching and moving while standing, twisting; stooping; and be response to sounds associated to the work environment.
You will be required to lift to 25 lbs. unassisted, anything over 25 lbs. would be assisted.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment as required.
You will be required to adhere to all EH&S roles and responsibilities as stated in manufacturing work instructions and EHS policies and procedures.

Job Description:
- Vehicle Process Engineer Specialist (Toluca Vehicles) will create, updating and maintenance of process documents that affect the current and new vehicle program(s) project(s) and includes working in different process areas BIW and General Assembly.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Process Engineer must be able to perform studies for assembly processes, process documents creation includes graphics & illustrations of the parts to be assembled and its development contains the identification of assembly risks through the use and implementation of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) on current and new products. Once the matrix of PFMEAs to be generated has been defined, Process Engineer will be responsible to schedule meetings in mutual agreement with VPE and plant, develop and lead the PFMEAs. For the creation of PFMEA it will be required to populate the process steps on the PFMEA form provided by VPE Cars /WPI, which includes process steps, identifying potential process risks, establishment of severity, occurrence and detection values, establishment of recommended actions, assignment of responsible for each created recommended action, creation of summary reports after each PFMEA review and document posting into WPI web. It also includes the follow-up of open recommended actions with responsible(s) up to which all the actions will be closed as well.
- Vehicle Process Engineer will be responsible to perform the new and update process documents for the current and new vehicle product programs produced by Toluca Plant, it includes all product parts end items, parts change last level released by product engineering that may affect the process(es) and the inclusion of the changes into the processes should be done considering the product implementation date specified in the engineering change Vehicle Process Engineer will be able to understand the product specifications included in the Engineering Bill of Material (EBOM) system, Product Change Notes (CNs) and Engineering Bulletins.
- It is expected after being familiar with the product specifications, Client systems use and process document requirements that the Vehicle Process Engineer will develop a new process page under the rate of 30 minutes and meet the quality required. If the process or PFMEA's documents performed by Vehicle Process Engineer contain mistakes or missing information, the time used to fix the errors and meet the quality requirements will be covered by Engineering Services.
- Vehicle Process Engineer will provide these services considering performing in the different process areas BIW and GA process areas, work under pressure, availability to travel, assistance on weekends and sometime holidays.
- Vehicle Process Engineer is responsible to keep the information managed updated, control the changes, and manage the process documents assigned as well as have them available into the corresponding systems indicated in accordance with the vehicle(s) program(s) needs established by IME/ME. * Procurement Management and Supervision: Source, negotiate, and procure materials, components and services in accordance with project requirements, ensuring compliance to specification and defense regulations. Manage procurement and global transportation.

Collaborate with the office of Programs, Operations to assure manufacturing paperwork is available as required, and quality to support smooth flow of material, on schedule and within budget. Understand principals of estimating and be able to supervise individuals in estimating.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
* 4+ years of purchasing experience in the manufacturing aerospace/defense business
* In depth understanding of DoD program requirements, contracting, and government customer expectations.
* Experience with international suppliers and negotiating contracts.
* Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and understanding of production scheduling and estimating fundamentals.
* Knowledge of ITAR/EAR/export controls.
* Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
* MS Office application proficiency.
* Experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

As a Quality Engineer at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, you will ensure the highest quality standards are upheld throughout the full product lifecycle—from initial design through manufacturing and final delivery. You will develop and maintain quality systems, drive continuous improvement initiatives, resolve product and process issues, and maintain compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. Your work will directly influence product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across the site.
Location:
On-site at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, with occasional travel to suppliers or other Jabil sites as required.
What Will You Do?
- Design, develop, and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing methods for new and existing products.
- Lead root cause investigations and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Partner with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards, conduct supplier audits, and monitor supplier performance.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) tools to monitor processes, identify trends, and recommend improvements to reduce defects.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, customer requirements, and internal quality management systems.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality documentation.
- Drive and support continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8D, and other methodologies.
- Act as a primary interface for customer quality inquiries; resolve customer complaints and communicate quality performance updates.
- Provide quality training, guidance, and mentorship to manufacturing teams and cross‐functional groups.
- Compile and analyze quality data; generate reports and present findings to leadership for decision‐making.

Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within manufacturing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
- Proficiency with SPC, Minitab, FMEA, control plans, and PPAP processes.
- Demonstrated experience using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone methodologies for problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ certifications such as CQE, CSSBB, or CMQ/OE.
