Job Description:

• This position will lead initiatives to increase the effectiveness of the electrical maintenance staff and processes.
• The manager will lead the department in their objective to maximize cement and aggregates production by implementing new control methodologies to improve power and control systems reliability.
• The role will require considerable time in staff development to support our preventative maintenance strategies while identifying and executing capital improvement projects for all electrical and automation systems.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with plant policies & procedures, safety, environmental, state, and federal process regulations. Proactively support and play a leadership role in the plant's safety program to continuously improve safety and health performance.
• Manage electrical and instrumentation departments to improve efficiency and ultimately reduce costs.
• Develop and implement capital investment opportunities promptly with provided resources to improve reliability of the power distribution and control systems.
• Design and develop new control methodologies to increase efficiency or production.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation and control issues to minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
• Develop and manage department budget. Provide input into plant capital plan and operation plan and effectively manage budget costs.
• Develop future managers for the business through training and mentoring.
• Identify the training needs of plant staff and ensure that appropriate training is implemented.
• Ensure implementation of company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5-10 years minimum Electrical Engineering experience required. Power (high voltage) engineering in cement or heavy industries considered a plus.
• Strong managerial / supervisory background, minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Labor relations experience desirable. The manufacturing site is inclusive of represented team members.

Metal Fabrication Manager

Location: Troutville, Virginia

Position Overview

Virginia Transformer Corporation is seeking an experienced Metal Fabrication Manager to lead fabrication operations at our Troutville, Virginia Junction Box manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all metal fabrication activities including sheet metal processing, welding, forming, and assembly preparation for junction box components used in transformer systems.

The Metal Fabrication Manager will ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and cost control. This leader will work closely with engineering, production planning, and quality teams to support Virginia Transformer’s continued growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication Operations Leadership

• Manage daily operations of the metal fabrication department, including sheet metal processing, cutting, forming, and welding.
• Lead and supervise fabrication teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production output.
• Ensure production schedules are executed effectively to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Monitor fabrication workflow and identify opportunities to improve productivity and throughput.

Process & Manufacturing Excellence

• Oversee fabrication processes including laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, grinding, and finishing.
• Partner with engineering to ensure designs are manufacturable and optimized for fabrication processes.
• Implement best practices to improve cycle times, material utilization, and production efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication department.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure fabrication operations meet quality standards, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or production issues.

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, and develop fabrication personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Position Overview

Virginia Transformer Corporation is seeking a Planner / Continuous Improvement Manager to support operations at our Troutville, Virginia Junction Box manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for production planning, workflow optimization, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, throughput, and quality.

The ideal candidate will combine strong planning and scheduling capabilities with Lean manufacturing expertise to ensure production meets customer delivery commitments while continuously improving processes and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and manage production schedules to support customer demand and delivery timelines.

Control Engineer – Junction Box

Position Overview

Virginia Transformer Corporation is seeking a Control Engineer – Junction Box to support the design and development of control systems and wiring architectures for transformer junction box assemblies. This role is responsible for developing electrical schematics, control wiring designs, and documentation that support transformer monitoring, protection, and auxiliary control functions.

The Control Engineer will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure junction box designs meet customer specifications, electrical standards, and manufacturability requirements while supporting Virginia Transformer’s continued growth in utility, industrial, renewable energy, and data center markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control wiring systems and electrical schematics for transformer junction boxes.

We are seeking skilled Make-Ready Designers (primary focus) and Power Distribution Designers to support engineering programs for major electric and telecom utilities. Ideal candidates bring demonstrated experience in overhead utility pole design, NESC application, clearance assessment, pole loading analysis, and construction package development. We are looking for an experienced leader in experimentation methodology to join our core Applied ML team. The Applied AI and Machine Learning team handles large-scale data to support many business areas. We develop a cohesive navigation experience across channels and web pages. Our goal is to simplify and improve the shopping experience for everyday entrepreneurs worldwide, helping them quickly find what they need on our website.

In this leadership role, you will enhance the strategic direction of our experimentation methodology efforts. You will use simulations and reinforcement learning, ensuring consistency with business objectives, and supporting cross-functional teams in data-informed experimentation solutions. You will guide teams working at the intersection of large-scale foundation models, multi-agent systems, and RL-based optimization, encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

What you'll get to do...

• Define and drive the strategic roadmap for AI driven experimentation methodology, aligning initiatives with organizational goals and business impact
• Supervise and mentor teams of scientists and engineers, providing technical guidance and career development
• Promote meticulous experimentation, including the development of simulation environments and robust evaluation frameworks using machine learning and RL
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate research outcomes into scalable, production-ready experimentation solutions
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and cultivate a collaborative, innovative environment across the Applied ML team and broader organization

Your experience should include...

• 3+ years of professional experience managing and leading high-performing teams, including mentoring and coaching team member to achieve organizational goals
• 5+ years of professional experience in experimentation methodology, Reinforcement Learning, and software development 
• 2 + years of professional with experimentation platforms, data pipelines, and analytical tools to guide methodological rigor
• A deep understanding of statistical principles, causal inference, and experimental design for large-scale digital products
• A track record of partnering effectively with experimentation platform teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making
• 5+ years of professional experience translating complex statistical concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
• The ability to define and implement a vision for experimentation best practices across diverse product areas

You might also have...

• Master's in computer science or equivalent quantitative fields
