Job Description:
The Digital Innovation Division within the Digital Manufacturing Unit is looking for a Vision Inspection / loT Solution Engineer for a Global Automotive Company in Raymond, OH. This role requires 5 days onsite.
The engineer will work closely with vision professionals to implement, configure, and support machine vision systems used in vehicle manufacturing. This role combines hands-on work on the plant floor with technical configuration, automation integration, and programming.
- Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation and maintenance of vision inspection systems across manufacturing plants.
- Assist with smart camera setup, configuration, and calibration.
- Adjust and optimize cameras, lighting, and automation triggers used in inspection systems.
- Connect cameras to PLCs and plant automation systems, enabling communication between inspection systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Support operational technology (OT) systems including automation, networking, and industrial controls.
- Assist in developing and deploying digital manufacturing and smart factory solutions.
- Work closely with engineers and plant teams to test, deploy, and maintain new vision and IoT technologies.
- Perform both:
- Hands-on work on the production floor (camera setup, hardware adjustments)
- Computer-based work (configuration, programming, system monitoring).
- Qualifications2+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, controls engineering, machine vision, or industrial systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Electrical, Controls, Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar) highly preferred.
- Experience implementing vision solutions in Python.
- Experience with predictive analytics: vibration, audio, or current signature analysis.
- Proficiency with computer vision algorithms: segmentation, morphology, pose estimation, camera calibration, image enhancement, feature extraction, classification, 3D vision, and deep learning.
- Bonus Skillset:Experience with machine vision systems or inspection technologies.
- Familiarity with industrial PLC platforms (Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Siemens, or Omron).
- Exposure to computer vision or image processing techniques.
- Experience implementing vision solutions using platforms such as Cognex, Keyence, HALCON, or similar systems.
- Experience working with machine data, sensors, or industrial IoT solutions.

About this Position:
Lead and manage New Model project for new launches in North America through cross-functional coordination and cost roll-up of automotive parts sourced within Global and North American supply base, all which have significant impact on HDMA financial performance. Effectively lead and develop cost targets and strategies to achieve NM Model cost reduction goals for assigned models, monitoring progress and performance against the project, plan versus actual. Provide clear, concise, and accurate cost and maker layout reports to Purchasing management and New Model Cost in line with project requirements. Monitor progress and performance against the project, plan versus actual Lead team cost correlation activity with both global and regional design functions. Support project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
Responsibilities include:
- Create, maintain, and manage multiple new models (13-17) project schedules to meet overall schedule milestones and deliverables
- Represent the Department independently in project team meetings, theme activity, and evaluations; communicating across DEB areas to share ideas and gain consensus on key decisions and milestones
- Independently summarize Unit activity, conduct periodic reviews with Unit, Department & Division management to confirm new model status. This includes Supplier and Cost strategy items.
- Create and manage new model cost targets through cost correlation activity with design, effectively managing performance and implementing countermeasure plans accordingly (annual supplier spend $3.2B/$38M investment).
- Accurately roll-up cost (piece price and investment) for each NM event, and report cost and project status at New Model Evaluations to Procurement and Design Leadership
- Report departments project status, clarifying risk and path forward at New Model evaluations (Cost Evaluations, We Are Ready) to Procurement Senior Management
- Communicate and collaborate across DEB areas of the business to share ideas and reach consensus. Share project requirements to Department team and suppliers
- Develop and manage the coordination of cost table activity for use in supplier negotiation
- Mentor associates within group on problem solving, procedures, and fostering development

Manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work in their engineering team. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing an assigned area related to best practices, KPI improvements, plan execution and new technology industrialization. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the company's best manufacturing initiatives as a team and by partnering with other sites
- Monitoring and analysis of production numbers and KPIs
- Identifying continuous improvement projects, overseeing 6-8 CI projects at a time, including managing project timelines
- Completing the assigned area's capability and capacity analysis on a biannual basis

- Developing and improving line layouts and making line modifications

Job PurposeReliability Development Engineers are responsible for validating the body and/or chassis strength, durability, and marketability to meet Honda’s internal requirements and model specific targets with a goal of meeting or exceeding Honda and Acura customer expectations. Job PurposeAs an Engineer within Seat and Package Development Department you are expected to provide logical designs as part of a project team supporting model developments. Working with project team members and crossfunctionally, you are expected to learn, grow, and develop your know-how and engineering skills.
Key Accountabilities- Engineering Solution Design – Draft engineering solutions for an assigned component / part (or more complex parts with supervision) and the associated drawings and validation processes, to gather data and provide feedback on their feasibility, costs, quality, and performance.

Job Purpose- This role requires collaborating with cross-functional divisions to develop automotive body structures and components in the Underbody Design department that meet or exceed customer expectations while balancing vehicle performance, styling, marketability, manufacturing, profitability, and other design constraints & considerations.
- Design responsibilities may include both structural and/or styled parts in the engine room, floor, and bumper areas utilizing a variety of materials (steel, aluminum, plastics, composites, etc.) as well as manufacturing processes (stamping, injection molding, extrusion, casting, etc.).
- Additional responsibilities may include researching & developing new technologies for future vehicle applications.
- Create and/or manage creation of 3D models, layouts, and 2D drawings using CATIA. Responsibility may include more parts than an entry-level engineer and/or more complicated/challenging parts/systems.

Job PurposeTo contribute to the development of functioning prototypes that will eventually become production ATV/SxS vehicles, researching and applying new technologies to support business targets and maintaining global vehicle product quality .
Key Accountabilities- Develop complex component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles using computer-aided design software that achieve concept targets, function requirements, and manufacturing requisites with limited supervision. Communicate specification requirements and manufacturing control points via prototype and production drawings that result in setting the final specifications of global ATV & SxS new models and mass production vehicles. Maintain accurate technical, development, and administrative documentation as required.
- Establish or contribute to establishing cost targets for responsible parts that contribute to achievement of the vehicle development targets and achieve the cost targets through optimizing difficult part/system designs and offsetting any spec changes after target fix through implementation of additional cost reduction ideas.
- Create and manage schedule of individual work to ensure deadlines are met, coordinate resource needs with supervisor, and effectively utilize contractor resources with limited supervision. Consistently communicate project status and participate or lead project meetings, discussions, and development events.
- Generate high-level ideas and contribute to building strategies that support the evolution of new technologies. Support or lead maturation of ideas to prepare for development applications with limited supervision.
- Support market quality themes with limited supervision. Utilize problem-solving methods to analyse root causes. Develop and implement C/M specs as necessary limited supervision.
- Bachelors Engineering Degree in related field.
- 2 years of engineering experience preferably in Powersports or Automotive field.

Job purpose:
- The Principal UX Researcher conducts research on how customers use mobility products as well as new technologies which could be leveraged towards the UX experience.
- You will work with emerging, state-of-the art collaborators to find and progress new approaches to solve current UX issues and to propose new value solutions.
- The role targets regular proposals and proof-of-value (PoV) demonstrations for consideration towards development in products.
- You will guide and work with cross-functional members from within the SDV division, related function groups (regional or global) and regional business stakeholders to prepare and review PoVs.
Key accountabilities
- Research and improve the user experience of current and future products, both in automotive and consumer electronics space. Involve state-of-the-art collaborators in the NA regional sector and oversee collaborator research work.
- Analyze user research data to understand customers; needs and desires for UX functionality (displays, information, interface, entertainment, features, controls, etc)
- Manage contractors and vendors to meet multiple activity and project milestones on schedule
- Correlate and propose modifications and/or new UX solutions across a broad range of applicability.
- Create feature and user interface operational Proof-of-Value Experiments with regional collaborators
- Identify the L0 and L1 interoperability fundamentals for downstream feasibility assessment.
- Identify as subject matter expert in particular areas related to your field of exploration.
