Hours: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, Overtime availablePay Range: $30 $35 per hour depending on experience. What You Will Do
  • Independently program set up and operate Accupress and Bystronic press brakes for complex jobs.
  • Select tooling, install dies, and configure machines for accurate bends and repeatable production.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to produce precision sheet metal components.
  • Work with engineering to develop blanks and program machines for new parts.
  • Program or optimize setups for multi-bend parts and complex geometries.
  • Train and assist other press brake operators and entry-level team members.
  • Review setup sheets and recommend improvements to processes and tooling.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting forming problems and resolving production issues.
  • Support cross-training and assist in other fabrication areas as needed.
What We Are Looking For
  • 5+ years press brake experience, including full machine setup.
  • Experience with Accupress and/or Bystronic press brakes strongly preferred.
  • Strong blueprint reading and (GD&T basic familiarity a plus)
  • Ability to determine bend allowances, tonnage, and proper tooling selection.
  • Proven ability to train and mentor operators.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Arm and hand mobility required for machine operation.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds intermittently.
Metalworking or manufacturing experience is highly preferred, including sheet metal work, machining, welding, automotive repair, construction trades, or similar hands-on work but we will train the right candidate. Benefits:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes by assessing product requirements, ensuring manufacturability, and designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Leverage expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials while collaborating closely with production teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues, investigate equipment failures, prepare follow-up reports, and provide technical guidance to floor personnel.
  • Perform root cause analysis to address quality concerns during production.
  • Execute capital projects and drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in Kaizen events to enhance manufacturing processes, implement Lean principles, and improve quality performance.
  • Coordinate with operations and management to align on daily objectives and report progress.
  • Work with maintenance, production, engineering teams, and external contractors to improve equipment reliability, service quality, and repair practices.
  • Analyze workflows and optimize space and equipment layouts to boost manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop innovative solutions to resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Engineering Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is required
  • Minimum of three years of manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing facility is required
  • Must have experience working on the production floor with various types of manufacturing equipment
  • Must possess the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams/schematics
  • Must possess strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to succeed with little supervision
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team
