• Ensuring the immediate health and safety of students and staff, promptly coordinating external medical care when necessary.
  
• Maintaining well-stocked first aid supplies and equipment to respond efficiently to daily health needs.
  
• Preparing and regularly updating disaster preparedness supplies, ensuring readiness to manage health crises or emergency situations effectively.
  
• Administering appropriate minor treatments promptly, ensuring that medical assistance is accessible to students and staff as required.
  
• Monitoring and recording student illnesses and injuries, accurately documenting frequency, origin, duration, and analyzing health trends.
  
• Documenting all student medical interactions, including treatments, medications, and immunization records, in compliance with medical standards and confidentiality guidelines.
  
• Assisting students requiring diapering or personal care, using appropriate sanitary measures and adhering strictly to safety guidelines.
  
• Communicating with physicians, counselors, and families about students’ medication routines and observed behaviors to support informed healthcare decisions.
  
• Reporting immediately to appropriate personnel any situations where the health, safety, or welfare of students is at risk.
  
• Administering medications and medical care within the guidelines established by state licensure regulations and nursing practice standards.
  
• Providing comprehensive in-service training and orientation to new hires, covering essential medical procedures and health-related protocols.
  
• Participating proactively in meetings, professional development sessions, and training opportunities to remain updated on best practices and enhance professional competencies.
  
• Building and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with local healthcare providers, agencies, and community partners.
  
• Performing additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall health, wellness, and success of the school community.
  

‖ Qualifications Required:

• 
  
• Associates degree or higher in nursing or a closely related field of study.
  
• Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing or a closely related field of study preferred.
  
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a licensed practical nurse (LPN) credential.
  
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a registered nurse (RN) credential preferred.
  
• Prior experience working in a school and/or education program setting preferred.
  
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training and intervention techniques.
  
• Highly skilled in working with children with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders and/or other related disabilities.
  
• Proficient in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and writing detailed reports. 
  
• Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
  
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of staff members, students, parents, and the public.
  
• Well-versed in the use of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment.

Job Description:

• Pay: Up to $90,000 Yearly

• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
• Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
• Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
• Immediately reports all safety hazards. Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Performs count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded.
• Checks and completes in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight.
• Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
• Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
• Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas.
• Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
• Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
• Collects money (cash or checks) where required. Loads customer returns on to trailer and secures trailer doors.
• Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
• Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unloads all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
• At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

Job Description

As an Intermediate Retirement Income Specialist you will ensure the financial security of our membership by assessing member's current retirement income needs, providing advice, and making the appropriate recommendations based on member needs.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 5 days per week. After a successful 6 months, the option for a hybrid schedule will be available. This position can be based in the following location: Plano, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

For new hires starting, we are offering a signing bonus of $2,500. Bonus will be paid in one lump sum (minus applicable taxes) after 45 days of employment.

What you'll do:

• Receives request for advice from current and prospective members through various channels, including inbound and outbound phone calls.
• Asks questions to discover key information and retirement events and understands the role of annuities in a retirement income plan. Documents relevant information as it relates to building a retirement income portfolio.
• Uncovers and recognizes retirement events, understands and assesses the member's needs, financial situation, and goals and evaluates the factors to consider when determining an appropriate retirement age.
• Develops and communicates appropriate retirement income strategies based on individual member needs. Provides retirement advice and strategies and understand the steps in creating an effective retirement income plan.
• Recommends relevant financial product and services and refers for solutions that they are not trained and/or licensed to recommend or fulfill.
• Motivates member to take action on recommendation(s) and overcomes objections using intermediate sales techniques and persuasion skills. Implements recommendation(s).
• Familiar with the latest retirement strategy research and monitors legislative initiatives that may impact economy, society, and personal financial situation.
• Educates membership on implications of economic, industry trends, tax law changes, estate issues, retirement risks, and other threats to an effective retirement income plan, as well as USAA's financial products and services.
• Integrate risk management tools, products, and strategies to create an effective retirement income plan.
• May be expected to conduct outbound calls to follow up on products and services previously discussed and to actively engage in outbound call campaigns as needed.
• Collaborates with team members to resolve issues and to identify appropriate issues for escalation.
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
• Active Group 1 Life & Health license and required maintenance or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.
• Required maintenance of FINRA Series 7 license.
• Required maintenance of FINRA Series 66 (or 63 and 65) license.
• Must be able to successfully pass background check and meet all USAA and regulatory requirements. Additionally, applicant must have the ability to be licensed and registered in all required states and jurisdictions.
• 1 year of financial industry and/or sales experience.
• Experience delivering frequent written and oral communication.
• Experience processing and analyzing information.
• Experience fulfilling requests and meeting deadlines.
• Experience resolving conflict and negotiating.
• Experience multi-tasking in an operating systems environment
• Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required

Special Acquisitions team employees will primarily place outbound calls triggered from underwriting work items. Life Regulatory team employees respond to specific regulatory/business needs as directed by policies and procedures.
• Asks questions to discover key information, including life events, and to understand member needs. Documents relevant information. Life Regulatory team employees ask specific questions, often scripted, as needed to complete regulatory requirements and document relevant information.
• Uncovers and recognizes life events, understands and assesses the member's needs, financial situation, and goals. Assesses member financial situation and goals. Life Regulatory will refer members to Life Sales representative for advice and recommendations.
• Develops and communicates appropriate life insurance strategies based on individual member needs. Provides foundational protection planning advice, including insurance protection. Life Regulatory will refer members to Life Sales representative for advice and recommendations.
• Recommends relevant life insurance product and solutions and refers members who may need financial advice to the respective department. Life Regulatory will refer members to Life Sales representative for advice and recommendations.
• Motivates member to take action on recommendation(s) and resolves objections using foundational sales techniques and foundational persuasion skills. Implements recommendation(s).
• Monitors legislative initiatives that may impact economy, society, and personal financial situation.
• Educates membership on implications of economic, investment market and industry trends and tax law changes, as well as USAA's products and services.
• May conduct outbound follow-up calls to complete member acquisition of products and services previously discussed.
• Collaborates with team members to resolve issues and to identify appropriate issues for escalation.

Work Hours:

• Monday – Friday / 7:30am – 7:00pm (Central)
• An 8 hour shift will fall within these hours

The Associate Life Solutions Specialist helps to ensure the financial security of our membership by assessing member life insurance needs, providing advice and / or referrals for advice, and making the appropriate recommendations based on members' individual needs and goals. May provide support to Health Solutions acquisition and retention based on member demand.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 5 days per week, with the opportunity to move to a hybrid schedule after 6 months. This position will be based at the Plano, TX Campus . Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

• Receives request for advice from current and prospective members through various channels, including inbound and outbound phone calls, emails, faxes and video telephony. Special Acquisitions Team employees will primarily place outbound calls triggered from underwriting work items. Life Regulatory team employees respond to specific regulatory/business needs as directed by policies and procedures.
• Asks questions to discover key information, including life events, and to understand member needs. Documents relevant information. Life Regulatory team employees ask specific questions, often scripted, as needed to complete regulatory requirements and document relevant information.
• Assesses member financial situation and goals. Life Regulatory will refer members to Life Sales representative for advice and recommendations.
• Develops and communicates appropriate life insurance strategies based on individual member needs. Provides basic protection advice and strategies. Life Regulatory will refer members to Life Sales representative for advice and recommendations.
• Recommends relevant life insurance product and solutions and refers members who may need financial advice to the respective department. Life Regulatory will refer members to Life Sales representative for advice and recommendations.
• Motivates member to take action on recommendation(s) and resolves objections using basic sales techniques and developing persuasion skills. Implements recommendation(s).
• Monitors legislative initiatives that may impact economy, society, and personal financial situation.
• Educates membership on implications of economic, industry trends, and tax law changes, as well as USAA's products and services.
• May conduct outbound follow-up calls to complete member acquisition of products and services previously discussed.

Work Hours:

• Monday – Friday / 7:30am – 8:00pm (Central)
• An 8 hour shift will fall within these hours
• This role is required to be in office, with potential hybrid opportunity after 6 months.

What you have:

• High School diploma or GED
• Required maintenance of Life/Health license and/or acquisition within 90 days
• Required annual completion of AHIP and Broker/Carrier appointments when applicable.
• Up to 1 year of financial industry and/or life sales experience
• Experience delivering frequent written and oral communication
• Experience acquiring and applying new concepts and information
• Experience processing and analyzing information
• Experience fulfilling requests and meeting deadlines
• Experience resolving conflict and negotiating
• Experience multi-tasking in an operating systems environment
• Experience participating in a team environment
• Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required

What sets you apart:

• Active Group 1 Life and Health license
• 1+ yrs experience working in Sales with life insurance or financial services products
• 1+ yrs experience working in a call center environment
• CLU - Chartered Life Underwriter or comparable designation
• US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $48,290 - $81,490.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
