The Compliance Director ensures that Gnomon maintains full institutional integrity and regulatory eligibility across all governing bodies, including the Department of Education (ED), ACCSC, BPPE, This is a senior, cross-functional leadership role that integrates academic, financial, and operational compliance to protect the school’s accreditation and legal authority to operate. - Lead all institutional compliance and accreditation functions for Gnomon, ensuring year-round readiness and alignment with U.S. Department of Education (ED), ACCSC, and BPPE standards.
- Maintain and execute the master compliance calendar, coordinating deliverables across departments to meet all regulatory deadlines.
- Draft, review, and submit all required filings, including the ACCSC Annual Report, BPPE Annual Report, Institutional Assessment and Improvement Plan (IAIP), audited financial statements, student catalog updates, and enrollment agreements.
- Oversee site-visit readiness, including mock audits, exhibit management, and direct coordination with accrediting and state agencies.
- Audit internal processes and documentation—such as student records, faculty qualifications, placement data, refund calculations, policies, and marketing materials—to verify compliance accuracy and institutional integrity.
- Partner with leadership and department heads (Education, Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Student Affairs, Marketing, and Finance) to design and refine processes that meet all regulatory requirements while improving the student and staff experience.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes by monitoring agency communications and Calls for Comment; brief executive leadership on emerging standards, risks, and required actions.
- Develop, train, and reinforce Gnomon’s institutional compliance culture, ensuring every department understands its role in maintaining accreditation and licensure standards.
- Oversee the handling and resolution of student complaints and concerns, ensuring each case is documented, investigated, and resolved in accordance with Title IX and all state and federal due-process requirements. Maintain a controlled, non-escalatory environment by addressing issues promptly and transparently, reinforcing Gnomon’s commitment to equity, fairness, and student well-being.
- Ensure institutional compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by overseeing accessibility processes, accommodations, and related documentation that support an inclusive learning and working environment.
- Maintain ongoing compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations—including Title IV, Title IX, ADA, ACCSC, BPPE, and U.S. Department of Education standards—through proactive coordination of policies, documentation, and internal reviews.
- Identify potential risks early, escalate concerns appropriately, and recommend corrective actions to executive leadership to ensure continuous improvement and institutional accountability.
- Minimum 5years of experience managing higher-education compliance, accreditation, or licensing (ACCSC and BPPE experience required; Title IV familiarity preferred).
- Demonstrated success leading accreditation cycles, audits, and site visits.
- Strong understanding of institutional operations, including registrar, financial aid, student services, and finance, within a Title IV-eligible school.
- Immersion of academic offering to ensure coordination on compliance side of the education provided at Gnomon.

The Alliance for Children’s Rights is a nonprofit organization that provides free, holistic, legal services and advocacy to youth and families impacted by child welfare and juvenile justice systems in Los Angeles County. Salary:
This is an exempt, full-time paid position, target starting salary range for the staff attorney is $79,000-$85,000. Final starting salary offered is contingent on years of relevant experience. About the Role:
The Aquatics Operations & Training Supervisor role combines oversight of operational staffing, regional safety programs, and instructor coordination within a defined territory. This position acts as a vital link between operations and training, ensuring that facilities are adequately staffed, compliant with regulations, and aligned with Swan Aquatics’ safety and service standards. In addition to these supervisory duties, the role involves supporting Swan Aquatics and Swan CPR's training and safety programs by conducting certified Red Cross courses and assisting with operational readiness across partner facilities. This includes traveling to multiple locations to teach Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid courses, conducting on-site audits, facilitating in-service training sessions, and stepping into event supervision roles as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old
Current Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) Certification
Minimum 3 years teaching Red Cross LG/CPR/FA courses
5+ years of aquatics leadership or facility management, or related field experience.
Valid driver’s license & clean record Strong communication & customer-service skills.Proven experience managing multi-site teams and client relationships.
Strong administrative proficiency in Google Workspace, Recreational Registration Programming, and Business Management platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel (25% of the time) regionally and support weekend operations as needed.
Preferred or Equivalent Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or AA degree, military experience

Assisting and running in-services as needed at assigned facilities.
Monitor schedules and programming across multiple facilities. Oversees staffing accuracy and call-outs within the area as needed. Managing Certification Courses at facilities with which we are partnered, but do not fully operate. Coordinate and communicate with the Facility Manager on staffing requirements to run both private classes and full-facility operations classes.Oversee class sign-ups and cancel classes within 48 hours if the participant count falls below the minimum. Coordinating Certification Courses with Instructors Creating classes in the registration system. Communicating with the marketing department to advertise classes.Coordinating certification courses and dates with instructors.Inventory management at sites.Teach lifeguarding and/or WSI classes as needed. Communication with shift supervisors/head lifeguards.Communicate with different departments. Reaching out to potential new partnerships within their area for aquatic training opportunities or utilizing a pool space.
Compensation details: 25-27 Hourly Wage
