About the Role

Manning Kass is seeking a litigation associate to join one of our California offices in a hybrid remote capacity. The ideal candidate will work on a diverse range of Transportation, Automobile and Trucking cases. The candidate will work closely with senior associates and partners daily, engaging in all phases of litigation—from case evaluation and discovery to trial presentation—focusing on strategic thinking to achieve client goals. We seek candidates who are eager to learn, highly self-motivated, and interested in long-term professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cases, overseeing matters through all stages of the litigation process from inception through trial.
• Attending Court hearing, managing discovery, as well as taking and defending depositions.
• Proactively managing communications with clients throughout the course of litigation.
• Timely and accurate reporting to our clients and ensuring compliance with the case management requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is required.
• You must be licensed to practice in the State of California.
• The ideal candidate should have 1 + years of transportation litigation experience.
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written.
• Time management skills and ability to manage and meet deadlines is required.
• Experience handling discovery for complex matters, with substantial knowledge of evidentiary objections in responding to discovery.
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise common sense in complex situations while reporting to clients and carriers.

• 40 hours per week
• Saturday and Sunday 6:30 am - 14:00 weekends. 3 days during the week 5:00 am-1:30 or 9:30 am-6 pm. Depending on the needs of the schedule

Nuclear Pharmacy is responsible for providing radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines may also consult with or advise physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy.

Responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation
• Processes packages returned from customer locations
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• Ability to manage up to 75 pounds
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Flexibility to work different days, schedules, hours, come in early, stay late, or work overtime based on business needs
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Ability to work weekends or be in a weekend rotation

Essential Duties:

• Driving: Safely complete In-house training on our Isuzu NPR/NQR/NRR trucks
• Customer Service: Provide top tier customer service while educating our customers on our product & services to gain business wherever possible
• Safety: Commit to safe and professional navigation, driving, and efficient loading & unloading
• Sales: Conduct in-depth assessments and clearly communicate service benefits

A Day in the Life:

• We start the day with a vehicle inspection and a morning meeting
• Our teams of two field techs (Driver + Navigator) will depart in our trucks to our customers' homes, businesses, and various properties, to remove unwanted items.
• When our truck is full, we will dispose of the items at a waste management or recycling facility
• You will maintain clear and constant communication throughout the day with our dispatch and operations team
• Come back ready to do it again the next day!

Job Requirements:

• 21+ years of age (required for insurance purposes)
• Valid driver's license & CLEAN driving record (No points, suspensions, or violations) This is non-negotiable.
• Working knowledge of truck operation, care, and general maintenance
• Physically capable of lifting and loading 50+ lbs repeatedly.
• Comfortable meeting & communicating with customers (bilingual is a plus!)
• Load and unload items with and without dollies
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, strong work ethic
• Ability to pass a background check + maintain a drug-free workplace
• Ability to work at least one weekend day
• Have a working smartphone and be comfortable with technology (tablets, apps, GPS, etc.)
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the truck yard
