Description:
Serve as a substitute on school bus to provide assistance to driver and students in absence of regular bus aide.
Reports to: Supervisor of Transportation
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Additional materials required for employment - packet available at District Office or can be e-mailed. Criminal Background Check, TB Test within one year, Proof of education, Driver's License and Social Security Card also required.
NOTE: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required for all employees of the Seaford School District.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: All new state employees will be required to participate in the State of Delaware's Direct Deposit system. With direct deposit, wage and salary payments are deposited in the employee's bank account via electronic funds transfer.
All final candidates for employment must have a satisfactory criminal background check before being placed on contract/payroll as per State of Delaware regulations. Candidates may contact the Delaware State Police at (3 Kent County or (3 Sussex County to make an appointment. The cost of the criminal background check is $65 (expense borne by the prospective employee). Final candidates must also receive a satisfactory child protection registry check.
Final candidates must also produce documentation of Mantoux skin test results for entrance to school system.

About the Role

This position is located within our Des Moines, IA office. The Account Executive is responsible for the day to day operational activity and wallet share growth of a portfolio of existing TMC Customers. This role builds relationships at the operational levels in a customer in order to become their trusted advisor while maximizing wallet-share. The AE builds far reaching win-win solutions that make the client’s life easier while saving money and driving TMC gross profit growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customers closed by the partner Regional Sales Executive
  • Work with operational level contacts to provide value and increase TMC wallet share
  • Win additional business whether it be new lanes, modes or shipping locations
  • Solve operational problems and ensure all shipping locations are getting the best service possible
  • Manage customer account receivables with Billing and AR Teams
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews
  • Utilize TMC reporting platforms in order to investigate data for trends
  • Assist in building annual customer budget
  • Manage pricing process and guidelines in order to win additional business
  • Update all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and any other necessary tasks that enhance improvement to the success of the client
  • Partner with CSS Team to improve and grow customer and carrier commitments
  • Communicate daily and weekly information vital to the success of the branch back to the GM concerning challenges, successes, and general information with accounts, people and processes


Qualifications

  • Four-year degree, preferably in Transportation and Logistics, and/or relevant experience in transportation or related field
  • One year experience in a 3PL environment preferred

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Safety Manager is responsible for the overall safety and compliance of assigned group of drivers. Manages drivers in regards to safe operation of the truck pursuant to Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Safety Manager conducts and oversees on-scene accident investigations, determines contributing factors, and assigns fault. When a TMC driver is found at fault, the Safety Manager determines financial liability and seeks reimbursement for damages. This role also coaches drivers and operations staff on hours-of-service compliance and provides expert guidance on cargo securement.


In addition, the Safety Manager handles cargo claims investigations, determines fault for damaged cargo, pursues reimbursement when appropriate, and authorizes vendor payments as needed. The position is responsible for approving or declining driver applications, leading group and one-on-one safety meetings, coaching drivers on improvement areas, and recommending retraining when necessary. The Safety Manager also conducts disciplinary meetings, including terminations.


Other duties include overseeing truck securement processes, locating abandoned trucks, and participating in the department’s rotating after-hours on-call schedule. The Safety Manager also conducts road trips to evaluate driver securement practices, hours-of-service compliance, driving performance, and equipment usage, while visiting customers and vendors to address issues or strengthen relationships.


REQUIREMENTS:

Four-year degree, preferably in Transportation and Logistics, and/or relevant experience in transportation or related field.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) products.
