- Care Team Model: Medically directed anesthesia care team (MD supervision, ratio 1:3 or 1:2)
- Privileging: Estimated 60 days; accelerated options available (emergency under 30 days, temporary 30–60 days)
- Licensure: Will consider candidates needing to obtain Illinois RN/CRNA license (Illinois nursing jobs)
Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) — current AANA certification or recertification
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program
- Current registered nurse license (Illinois preferred) or eligibility to obtain Illinois licensure
- Minimum 1 year of CRNA clinical experience preferred; experience in general, orthopedic, and OB anesthesia strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR is a plus
- Strong communication, teamwork, and perioperative clinical skills
- Ability to work in a medically directed care team model and manage a diverse surgical caseload
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and perioperative assessments
- Obtain and verify informed patient consent and discuss anesthetic options and risks
- Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia for general, orthopedic, and obstetric cases
- Monitor and manage patients’ physiological status throughout the perioperative period
- Provide airway management, vascular access, and other clinical interventions as needed
- Participate in postoperative pain management and handoff to PACU staff
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, OB teams, and perioperative staff in a team-based model
- Document anesthesia care accurately in Epic according to facility policies and quality standards
